I liked the cycle ride into the city, and exploring the old town and port. I enjoyed a self-guided architecture walk/cycle ride. We cycled to the botanical gardens which were amazing. The old town was lovely and Picasso's house was very interesting. The food was delicious.Guest review bylizBelgium - 8.0

i liked the infrastructure and architecture though the streets were too narrow to drive. Flamenco performance and Alacazar palace were genuinely amazing to enjoy. City had an energy of its own though it was really expensive.Guest review byAbdul SamadSaudi Arabia - 8.0

I thought the old town area was very interesting but there were a lot of take away/sit in type places to eat and I found it difficult to find nicer restaurants, I would recommend you research this before travelling. The temperature in August was too hot for us as a family and if I was to visit again I would go earlier or later in the year. The people were very nice and the general standard of the food we did get was good. The shops were a bit repetitive in the old part of the town but the new part had what you would expect any bigger city/town in Spain to have including some nice bespoke boutique and jewellary shops.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The area around Bajondillo Beach (300-400m) is not suitable for families with children. These are beaches exclusively for the gay community. You are not even allowed to go to one beach with children. The gay community is very strong here, and associated with this is also public behavior right on the beach in the form of homosexual games, kissing and similar. I must say that even heterosexual couples do not behave so eccentrically in public! This location 300-400m is completely unsuitable for families with children, precisely because of the indiscriminate behavior of the gay community (5 gay guys on a large sunbed and ......)Guest review byAnonymousCzech Republic - 10.0

I remember reading someone's blog saying you could skip Cordoba and I couldn't disagree more strongly! My friend and I were traveling through Southern Spain and booked Cordoba very last minute because we had 4 nights with no plans. I'm sooooo glad we did! We fell in love with Cordoba straight away. The beauty of the architecture, the maze of little lanes, the Mercado Victoria, the stunning Mezquita-catedral, the patios. There are so many things to do and see in Cordoba. We did a light and sound show at the Mezquita, watched a flamenco show with horses, bought stunning filigree jewelery made by the same jeweler who has provided pieces for the queen of Spain, ate delicious food, danced in bars and just had the BEST time. Cordoba, has something for everyone, don't skip it! 4 days was a great amount of time, but we could have easily spent a few more there.Guest review byKristelAustralia - 10.0

I was in Spain for the first time and I really liked Benalmadena. Of the beaches, I liked Playa Jose the most. Two sunbeds with umbrellas cost 14 euros. Very friendly beach manager. You can order a drink and food there, which is prepared in a cafe on the embankment. Be sure to visit Benalmadena Pueblo and enjoy the real Spanish atmosphere. On the embankment, I liked the cafe The Sootn Beach with very tasty food. Nearby is a place with homemade ice cream. The Aquarium restaurant had excellent food and a very friendly owner, who explains in English about any dish.Guest review byIrynaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We always love Cadiz as my husband was born there so we try and travel to Cadiz every summer from Australia. We love the beach, fish market is amazing and all the bars & restaurants and the churros & chocolate for breakfast we have tried many places and I think Cadiz has the best churros. Even better than in Madrid.Guest review byDollyAustralia - 6.0

I was incredibly lucky to choose this town for my accommodation! I knew nothing about it, I just chose the cheapest hostel that was also beautiful and had the best reviews, and was close to the beach. And it was a hit! It's a small town, but there are lots of great supermarkets and restaurants. There's a chic flea market nearby on Sundays. The beaches are absolutely incredible, and there's the Balcony of Europe. Overall, it's a great balance of tourist life.Guest review byOlenaUnited Kingdom
