Very clean and tidy. The bathroom was cleaner than the five star resort I stayed at in Dubrovnik. Friendly staff. Mall across the street with a huge grocery store. Breakfast buffet was ok but cappuccino and a variety of items made to order were very good. Btw, this a la carte menu is included in breakfast price. Roof top is nice . The front desk recommended a restaurant for delivery as I did not have local Food delivery app. And the pizza was good and only 10 euro . They did not charge me for delivery. The hotel is 5-6 min drive from old town and marina but it is not too expensive to take an uber.

FAQs about hotels in Split

The Sunny Side of Croatia

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.

Split is centered around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and featuring limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!

The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.

Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soft drinks Pipi and Orela.

So just pack your bags and head to Split Airport! Booking.com has plenty of sunny apartments, friendly guest houses and well-equipped hotels for your Split adventure.

It is a beautiful little town, well worth visiting, lots of history, stunning scenery and a lovely vibe. If you just want to meander about, you can fill a couple of days, if you want to make use of the beaches and go further afield you could make it a longer stay. At times it does get very busy, and restaurant bookings are recommended. Ask your hotel, ours couldn't have done more to help.

    Split is magical.

Split is magical. From the point at which you arrive (especially if you arrive by bus), it is pure magic. Beautiful and expensive. You may go broke if you are not careful as there are a lot of activities to embark upon. However, if you have the resources, please go for it. I will definitely return to Split soon with my family and or friends.

The Mediterranean atmosphere, historical sites, and lively...

The Mediterranean atmosphere, historical sites, and lively outdoor culture are what brought us to Split. The Old Town is a maze of stone-paved streets, historic buildings, and squares, set against the sparkling Adriatic Sea. The Riva, the city’s famous waterfront promenade, is a focal point for social life, lined with palm trees, cafes, and restaurants, where every evening residents and visitors enjoy the waterfront and scenic views. The city has a rich, layered history: from its Byzantine and Venetian eras to Austro-Hungarian rule and its pivotal role in Yugoslavia and modern Croatia. Today, Split is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant cultural events, and immersive historical ambiance—making it both a gateway to the Adriatic islands and a unique blend of antiquity and modern lifestyle. Everything is within walking distance (if you like walking), but when it isn't you can easily book a day tour such as the ones we took to Plitvice National Park and Mostar, Bosnia.

Split is a fabulous place to visit for couples and families alike. The little sandy Beach at Bacavec is perfect for safe swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle making! The old town has dozens of little streets full of cafés restaurants, shops, bars and ice cream parlours. There is a wealth of historic sites to see, not to mention the super yachts in the marina. The majority of restaurants where we dined were very reasonably priced, as were the Ubers that we used several times. I would highly recommend split for a visit.

I think split is a very beautiful city!

I think split is a very beautiful city! Walking around split oldtown and along the riva is such a special feeling. I’ve been there in December and over new years and it was a lovely flair and there were lots of music and delicious things to eat and I really enjoyed advent in split. Also the weather in December was perfect. Blue sky,sun and 20 degrees. Then I was back in summer and most bakery turned into ice cream stores and the weather was perfect again and I did some nice boat trips and visited some beautiful places outside split like the eye of Croatia or the KRKA Nationalpark.

Overall great city but not the great culture.

Overall great city but not the great culture. People are very very rude towards tourist and needless to say it's very expensive, party city. With that, even for the party scene there are plenty of other options across the globe. Save yourself sanity and money and explore other locations vs overpriced Croatia with extremely bad culture and people.

We loved the rooftop pool and the breakfast was amazing. The room was airy and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night at the end of our stay in Croatia, wish we have stayed for one more day! It was nice to be in a less touristy area as well having done a stay in near the Old Town.
