Budapest is a city that must be visited.If possible, plan your visit on the days including the 20th of August which then you can see the awesome independence day firework displays and many many other shows. I stayed for 4 nights and there were lots more to see since I do not like to rush when sightseeing, so I will visit again. The city has many transportation options, and it is very easy to use with the help of apps such as Apple Maps. The best option is to purchase a 3-day travel pass from the machines in the metro or online from the BudapestGo app. This will allow you to shorten your walking distances. Don't forget to purchase your ticket in advance for the Parliament building and don't miss this tour. Similarly, a guided tour of the Opera House is a must. Tickets for guided tours can be purchased at the door, but it's advisable to check the tour times in advance. Margaret Island is a huge park, and it's lovely to spend some quiet time relaxing here on a nice day. It's also beautiful to walk along the Danube or enjoy the view from Buda Castle, the Fisherman's Bastion, and Gellert Hill. One of the most stunningly beautiful cities you can see. A lot of history, culture, architecture, music of all kind, good food and good bakries, cakes at cafes. Sun and bath.
