Comfortable, clean with lots of amenities. Loved the option of it being pet friendly! We adventure with our fur baby as much as we can, and it’s so nice to be able to stay somewhere that allows her to come. We also loved the warm coffee table. It was a pleasant surprise as we have never experienced one before.

Izu is a wonderful varied destination with great food ,beaches and outdoor things to do ,It is a good place to go when you need a break from thee heat and crowds of summer in Japan.I very much recommend visiting Terrace Orange in Toi..It's a unique building built as both a tsunami refuge and community center with a lovely cafe and a restaurant with some of the freshest and nicest food on our trip .The architecture is fabulous and there is even a footbath acing the sea.

There is a more to explore here than we realized. Apart from hiking up hills for great views, we did not budget enough time for more sight-seeing. We had wanted to visit a wasabi farm but wound up at a wasabi market which was really cool with lots of wasabi based products - that was an experience in itself. Probably best explored by car.

It was a lovely small town, a welcome change from busy cities crowded with tourists. Very relaxing, beautiful hot springs in the middle of town, a charming temple and shrine surrounded by huge cedar trees. We stayed twi nights and really enjoyed it. From Shuzenji station you can take bus to a viewing area where if the weather conditions are right you can view Mt Fuji.

The hostel is great, they had all the facilities available and the private room we stayed at was just what we needed. Shuzenji Onsen is a tiny town but really lovely, I enjoyed exploring the Izu peninsula as well as the neighbouring rice fields and hills. Jamie was super helpful and friendly and made our journey easy with all the tips. If you're going to Shuzenji Onsen I recommend this accommodation.

An authentic traditional ryokan, set in the rolling Izu countryside by the side of a rushing river. Quaint and personable, the kind staff make things easy for non-Japanese to navigate and enjoy, from yukata to outdoor baths. Walks in the nearby hills with stunning views of Fuji. Excellent, substantial seasonal cuisine served on the deck over the river…idyllic.

It was a really perfect place i have ever been. The female concierge was really kind and sweet. Moreover, the room was really spacious, including private onsen. I hadn't bought any souvenirs from the hotel i stayed, but this ryokan made me open my extra wallet! I'm looking forward to coming back someday!
