Halifax is a great city to explore, lots of historical areas, restaurants and shops. An amazing boardwalk to explore. Restaurants to try: Five Fishermen, Millstone, Wooden Monkey, and Evan's Seafood. Ferry to and from Dartmouth to Halifax, very handy. Great villages to visit: Peggy's Cove, Hubbard (eat at Tuna Blue), Chester, Lundenberg has amazing shops, distilleruea to check out and restaurants) and Oak Island Tour (yes the one with the TV show that searches for treasure. 13th season being filmed).Guest review byNadiaCanada - 10.0
Every venue was close.
Every venue was close. “Freight Shed” restaurant was excellent and served the best seafood chowder we have ever had, and we have had seafood chowder all over the east coast! “The High Wheeler deli cafe bakery” was also a favorite for excellent coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. They were friendly, fast and reasonably priced.Guest review byFrankUnited States - 10.0
Truro is a charming town.
Truro is a charming town. It was just what we liked, the pace was relaxed and we had access to all the amenities we needed. We dined at the N & C. Which we enjoyed very much. It was so lovely taking a morning walk in Victoria park which is close to Abide Within B&B where we stayed upon arrival and departure to Truro. Excellent service and great ambiance. Our overall experience was excellent. Thank you!Guest review byMillyCanada - 8.0

When I left (For the second year running) there are no facilities to obtain refreshments if you have a long wait. (I arrived because of check out time 11:30 and the flight did not leave until 16:45) That is a long wait without the ablitly to have some refreshments.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I arrived from the UK around midday at airport.
I arrived from the UK around midday at airport. Called for courtesy bus which arrived quickly. Arrived at hotel around 1pm expecting to have to wait for room. I was able to get into my room right away , which was great as I had been travelling for approximately 16 hours and was tired. Had a quick meal in restaurant which was very good. My family arrived a few hours later and we had a nice meal in the hotel. My grandchildren loved the pool. Will definitely visit again.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We enjoyed the harbour area, the historical main street, and the lovely old homes. The restaurants and food were great. We also enjoyed driving around the area, searching out shops, lighthouses, shorelines and beaches. The people we met were very friendly.Guest review bySusan - 8.0

I came for the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, and stayed 3 nights. Food at restaurants was good. More restaurants should be open for early breakfast, Loved the shuttle service for the Festival. Grand Banker's lobster roll was delicious. Fish and chips at the Dockside were great.Guest review byGunn
