Uluwatu is awesome but very busy now compared to other years. We loved the location of our villa, very central yet so quiet for how busy it is in Padang Padang. Easy to get around. Villa was beautiful we didn't want to leave! Could have done with a tv for quiet night in that's about it. The ladies at the office are lovely but quite pushy with payments when you book things and communication sometimes a bit mixed up. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay :)Guest review byJennaNew Zealand - 4.0

Basically just a resort neighborhood for people to spend their miles and points at all the usual hotel chains. The neighborhood is almost all resort pricing unless you go and mingle in the slum-like conditions that the local construction workers are living in. Almost all of the activities and attractions outside of the resorts are very suspicious, often feeling like tourist trap scams. I would only stay here again if someone were inviting me to some convention hosted here and they were putting me up in the resort hotel.Guest review byKoJapan - 10.0

Jimbaran is very laid back and traffic is not bad by Bali standards. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and spent most of our time there. We did have a family dinner on the beach at sunset and that was a great experience. We also had a fantastic dinner at an Indian restaurant near the beach. I can’t wait to visit jimbaran again with my grandson and learn to surf!Guest review byhumphrey - 10.0
Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle,...
Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle, and North of the Island. I spent a week in Ubud, then a week on the South coast. I could have spent 2 weeks in Ubud, and based most of my travels from there. Beaches in the South are something else, great surf, etc. Things to note which you may not expect. Traffic is mental. Most roads are bad, poorly surfaced, narrow and congested. Most people get around by scooter, which is fine, but be prepared for the fumes if you're doing more than a pop-to-the-shops on one. And the endless 'sell'. I was taking my own picture at a restaurant and was told I would have to pay for it (Rice Terraces) They aren't all like that, don't get me wrong, but they will push it. Fun can be had with haggling, Rule of thumb, offer half their asking price, then work back from there. Be prepared to be followed down the street if you don't buy it. Food is amazing. Try the local dishes, so much better than the same dishes back home. And why would you fly half way round the world to have fish & chips in a different country? And, getting there. Get your visa before going, they have 40-ish automated passport gates, which you can use if you have a digital passport. Use the Gojek App for taxi, or even food and other things whilst you're there (Like Uber).Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I recommend taking the shortcut on foot from the accommodation – turn left onto the main road, then immediately left again down a narrow alley. This will take you straight to the cafés, restaurants, shops, and spas. Be sure to visit Kelly's Warung at Bingin Beach, try a Pilates class at Fondue Studio, and enjoy dinner at Casa Asia.Guest review byKristinaCzech Republic - 10.0

Uluwatu is a great area in general and recently has evolved into quite more of not just a surf point but also a gastronomic and fashion center of Bali's top towns. A great place to come and take a vacation, all of the beaches are great and the great thing is that there's something for everyone.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Such good vibes and so much to do.
Such good vibes and so much to do. Amazing restaurants, cafes, and gyms, which all seemed to be owned and frequented by Australians. The vibes in the area was so cool and there are so many lovely beaches in the area. Highly recommend if you like sun, beaches, the outdoor lifestyle, and good vibes!Guest review byWill GNew Zealand - 8.0

The weather was good...28 degrees every day . Lots of 5 star resorts on the beach and the usual Warungs , laundries , massage shops and convenience stores across the road. The Bali Collective is worth a look. Could be a little windy at times but sometimes that was welcome too. Nice outlook towards Nusa Penida on the horizon. Plenty of watersports availableGuest review bySimonNew Zealand - 8.0

The actual area is busy and noisy, but the seafood cafes on the beach are the real drawcard and should be experienced - with roving minstrels and choosing your own fish. The hotel was directly across one road to the cafes and beach but inside the property it was peaceful.Guest review bySueAustralia - 10.0

Lots of cafes/restaurants in the area plus boutiques. Cashew tree cafe is amazing! Plus Seed cafe which also has a market attached to it. Handy to have a moped to get around but take care if you do.Guest review byAndrewNew Zealand
