Great castle to visit, a very good interpretive centre at the entrance. Lovely sandy beaches and lots of good cafes and pubs. Handy to bus and train transport. Criccieth is a pretty little town.
Criccieth is a pretty little town. There aren't loads of restaurants and Poacher had the best reviews but it was full for days in advance so I would suggest booking ahead if you can. The bay is beautiful and it's a great place to wander around. A highlight of our stay was a cute little bar and tapas place called Bar 51. The room was lovely and clean and had an amazing sea view. The breakfast was plentyful with a good choice, cereals, yoghurt, full english or toast.They went out of their way to make sure my partner who has a gluten allergy was happy. I am sure we will return to this B&B if we return to Criccieth.
