My previous experience was in Barcellona, and I decided to explore the Catalonia region, so Terresa was a great choice, a small but cosy city. It was a nice and great evening in the city centre. All the restaurants, bars, and coffee shops were full of locals and tourists. Great city centre, there was a small castle and museum there, and it was not free of charge. Lovely Spanish town not that far from Barcelona (40 mins on train) not so much English speaking but all shops and cafes made us feel very welcome. Much nicer than Barcelona if you want a quiet base where you can easily get to Barcelona to do all the touristy stuff! Amazing park in the centre, great for walking.
