Very friendly place, we were there for a family wedding at the castle and stayed a couple of nights but found lots of nice places to eat and drink and even went to the local duck race along the river. The people in and around Usk were very friendly.
The people in and around Usk were very friendly. There was no litter any where or graffiti at all. The Ragland fram was fantastic and great if you have children. Such a big play area and indoor soft play area's.so good to visit even if weather not good.. Also animals to look at. Staff very friendly and a small cafe and farm shop too. We had no children but still enjoyed the visit. The best place we found for eating out was a garden centre called Morriss's. Definitely book if you want Sunday lunch. The garden centre had lots of different items and well tended plants that larger garden centres do not have. Would definitely visit this area again.Guest review byShirley - 8.0

Stayed here previously prior to COVID and has since declined. Limited menu in the evening, which finished at 6 p.m. even though we had an accepted booking for 6 p.m. We were advised to order very quickly or visit the pub down the road. All of this is different to advertised in the room information and on the website. Beds were uncomfortable and were on wheels, so any slight movement meant a quick slide across the floor, there was no wifi in the room, broken curtain pole, so could not close them properly and no body wash, which you would expect for the price you pay. The Hall Inn does fabulous food and only a couple of minutes drive from the property. Usk close by for river walks, coffee shops and restaurants with Abergavenny 20 minutes away.
