Beautiful clean room with all the facilities, it did get a bit hot and noise from motorway didn't make opening the window an option. Bed a bit hard but this is a personal preference.

From the first phone call to Maurice, I had a good feeling about the upcoming overnight stay. I found the accommodation by chance on booking.com as we just needed a bed for one night to break our journey from home in Cambridgeshire to where we were staying in the Scottish highlands. We were greeted outside as soon as we parked our car, made to feel very welcome, shown to our immaculately clean room, helped where to eat late at night, had a great meal next door but one, and after a great nights sleep, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Wife said she ate the best eggs benedict she's ever had. We will definitely be returning next time we drive up north.

    Easy to get to, clean and quiet. The staff were very pleasant and very obliging. Room was very clean with good amount of tea and coffee available Only stayed overnight but definitely will return. Eateries just a short walk away.

    The only thing that I was frustrated about was the signage...

    The only thing that I was frustrated about was the signage for the location! My satnav directed me off to Gretna village via A75. The post code is obviously similar to properties there as the village is very close. (I had to ring reception for guidance). There should be a Welcome Break sign prior to that junction as satnavs tend to be obeyed, especially for lone drivers of a certain age like me!

    I attended for a wedding which was a lovely experience.

    I attended for a wedding which was a lovely experience. Plenty of choice for overnight stays from hotels to B&B’s. There are restaurants to cafes to choose from for food. Plenty of parking. Choice of historical interests to explore at the Black Smiths or you can shop at the nearby designer outlet. Lovely countryside for walks.

    the prices are too hit and miss,this visit it was more expensive than quoted,after 20 yrs we are now being charged parking!!! it is a shame that after 20yrs of visiting we are going to find somewhere else to stay

    This claimed to be dog friendly but, although I clearly stated that I would have a dog with me, no mention of a charge for the dog was made UNTIL I CHECKED IN. A bit late then to change my mind and find somewhere else. If the extra charge for car parking and for the dog had been made clear at the time of booking I would have gone elsewhere. £15 extra for a little dog! The receptionist told me the room wouldn't be deep cleaned so what was the extra charge for?

    Gretna Green is a lovely place to visit and it a short hop from Gretna Food Hall to Caledonia Park which covers tourism and some excellent retail therapy. Plenty of choice of where to have a snack or meal as well and plenty of toilets available in Caledonia Retail Park. Caledonia Retail Park has a plentiful selection for clothing for all the family, cookware, bedding, sportswear and gifts in short something to satisfy most needs.

    Booked at fairly short notice. Needed a dog friendly hotel which was exactly what this was. Dog was allowed into bar and room and was even treated to a sausage for his breakfast. Staff were welcoming to the dog and us!

    Nice budget hotel right next to the motorway services and just a mile from Gretna Green. Our room was large and the king size bed was very comfortable. It was a great base for us to explore the Scottish Borders.
