The hotel is designed for people who want a sports related vacation; biking, hiking, skiing, etc. I was particularly impressed with the biking facilities and extras (I was there in summer); tools for repairs, a well equipped bike garage with washer and dryer, outlets to charge E-bike batteries, and a wash rack outside. Very impressive! The rooms were "austere" in furnishings but everything was there and the room was comfortable

The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They have us ice cream or pets Zelda every day, which our kids loved. It was relatively close to the locations we visited and we loved being by the river. It was perfect for a quick cool off after a day of traveling. The rooms for so cute and we had plenty of storage space.

    Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Garmisch-Partenkirchen but not too far away to be a moment away. Great local food and welcoming people, have been coming here for years and plan to return. The atlas hotel has a great restaurant with lots of choice and it’s easy to get to with the train station from Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

    Farchant is a gorgeous little village, really pleasant to walk around, with stunning scenery. Loads of local small businesses, pleasant square in front of the town hall, fantastic public transport to Garmisch , Oberammergau and Munich. The restaurant’s were also good. The Italian in the middle was a great price and really bust, we were lucky to get in as most tables were reserved. Bank has a cash point, there’s bakery (open early morning), pharmacy, ice cream parlour, shop, and various places to eat. One thing you must know - there are NO shops open on Sundays. There are vending machines in different places to buy local products such as milk, eggs, meat and cheese, but if you’re arriving late Saturday, or Sunday, bring some food with you. We ran out of time to try the pool and the local mountain walks, but the churches are lovely, the local historic walk is nice and it is so so quiet. A real rural idle but with great connections! The local tourist card is also really useful, we more than got our moneys worth just using the buses!

    My goal was to hike the Reichtal trail to the Zugspitze. The starting point is not very well documented so I ended up missing the start time and hike other routes. There are wonderful routes to hike, but not quite the same.

    The hotel is located 5mins. from the Farchant train station and 1 train station away from Garmisch - Partenkirschen. It's very accessible if you are commuting. The view from the hotel is breath taking, breakfast is good, clean rooms and hotel gives off a very cozy vibe and the Sauna is a must! But what me and husband really loved about this hotel are the family/staff, they are ALL really sweet, very accommodating and helpful. They genuinely care for their guests and gives helpful suggestions where and what to visit in the are.

    We can’t speak highly enough about this fabulous hotel. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were brilliant as was the food at breakfast and dinner. We had a great day out using the free tourist bus pass from reception. To top it all we listened to the superb town band while having our dinner in the restaurant.

    We only stayed one night at the Landgasthof Kirchmayer, but we absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful spot where the mountains meet the green plains dotted with cows. We were lucky enough to catch a local orchestra playing nearby.

    All I can say is I had a wonderful stay here. loved the Hotel Alpine Style, clean and comfortable, friendly staff and close to all the beauty. Great Breakfast buffet with all you could need. would definitely stop here again.
