Such a quaint place to stay. We had a room at the castle and at the village. The castle room was nicer but the village room was neat too. We didn’t know we didn’t have to pay to get into the village before we checked in but easily got our money refunded. Breakfast at the hotel was really nice and we walked twice along the water front enjoying the sea air and the views. Lunch and gelato in the village were both delicious.

We loved the market in Mumbles, Joe's Icecream Parlour and the "Funky Market" in the hall up the road from the seafront. It is easy to get around Swansea/Mumbles; the road signage is excellent. The road surfaces, however, were as uneven and potholed as practically anywhere else in the UK. We are definitely not a "young couple", sorry - but we did visit the large shops at Forestfach. We did not take any photos - again, sorry - you youngsters will just have to come to Swansea/Mumbles to discover its features for yourself.* *Especially Joe's Icecream Parlour - a must for our every visit!

A nice place with an excellent shopping centre.

A nice place with an excellent shopping centre. Disappointed with the lack of green areas in the centre. People, including shop staff, were very nice and helpful. However it was difficult to find somewhere to eat what we like (traditional English meals). Ended up with tasteless junk takeaway. We did not bring transport but did not need to go anywhere that was not walkable, other than we would have liked to have found a suitable eatery nearer the city centre, because we have a dog and even if allowed, he does not travel well on buses. We are not a young couple and it looked like there was little for us to do in the evenings.

Lovely spot in North Wales, lovely beach and some nice restaurants. Locals were friendly . We did a boat trip around Cardigan Bay and it was well worth the £20 per head cost, although we were very lucky with the weather. Some nice shops.
