It is a very pretty and quiet little village. It has lovely little shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. We went to visit friends and it was perfect stay for us. We stayed in a fabulous little apartment in the middle of town. We went to sextons for breakfast barms and needed up buying fresh pies, cakes homemade stew and not forgetting the breakfast barms. Everything was fabulous. We have eaten in a few resturants and pubs in lymm and I dont think I would favour one more than another. It depends on what you fancy to eat. Lymm was not new to us as we have family living close by. Lovely Cheshire village with a village cross and stocks but quite hilly in all directions. Nice walks along The Bridgewater Canal and The Trans Pennine Trail. Few nice shops and small supermarket (bigger one close by). Eateries and coffee shops in village. Lymm is a lovely relaxed , what I call a market town". Has relaxed chilled out coffee & cake shops. Has more than its fair share of pubs, which is no bad thing. Their is an outstanding bakery (5th Generation) and a must in my book to visit. Stunning canal waterway with a regular flow of narrow boats. Near by are a wide range of attractions. For ourselves their are a number of highlights. National Trust, Dunham Massey, Lyme, Speke hall and Quarry Bank, which is a large scale industrial textile building with waterwheel. If you have an interest in science or space. Then Jodrell Bank, which is just awesome and if you have children they have an outstanding hands on learning experience , well worth a visit.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom

Wonderful service and made it so convenient and less worrying. Cottage itself was delightful. Lots of space and comfortable seating downstairs, dining table and large spacious kitchen The cottage was spotlessly clean, and were greeted on arrival with coffee/tea/biscuits which was very welcome. The facilities in the market town are excellent. Property itself was nice, relaxed, chilled out apartment, with ample of the required equipment. Toaster, fridge, freezer etc, plus the bonus on the TV of subscribed services of Netflix / Amazon prime. If your into visiting National Trust Proprieties , this location is idea. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and to top that in the very centre of lymm. I thought that I could not want for more but after a fabulous shower opened the draw to find a good hairdryer and straighteners bonus! Love this place and would definitely recommend.
