What a fabulous city to discover.

What a fabulous city to discover. Old world charm with Tudor styled buildings and a unique shopping area called The Rows. Everywhere you turn there is something fabulous. Can't stop talking about it. Cathedral is stunning inside (£5 donation) and well worth a look inside. Wanted to play mini golf, but left early. Lots of placed to eat (recommend the Botanical) great food. The walk along the wall and river is great for meandering and enjoying the view. You'll see the remnants of the castle too.

I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.

There is quite a range of shops along the high street; the surrounding houses and streets are leafy and pleasant. I found a cafe for coffee / cake / light lunch and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is quite a lot of traffic which drives through. There are great activities though as I was visiting family I did not wish to pursue them - there seem to be bowls [on a crown green - not ten pin], golf, plenty of Churches. Quarry Bank Mill [NT] is close by.

Booked an overnight stay and fair to say, room and service were excellent from arrival, evening meal and breakfast. Easy recommend from us and we will be back for a longer stay next time as the area is lovely and well worth exploring. Only disappointment was the weather and the fact it was an overnight stay only, Will be back for a longer stay.

Runcorn is beautiful and we came to visit relatives. But our stay at the hotel wasn’t worth it. It was old and needs overall revamping. Reception staff was nice but the room was so tiny with AC not working and bed was so uncomfortable. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.
