It is a great get away city for 2-3 full days. We stayed 5 days, but we went to a festival for 2 days and didn’t get to do everything else that we wanted to. Budapest is a nice city, although some restaurants and supermarkets are expensive. Some of them don't justify the price. Uber/Bolt are also expensive, but somewhat affordable if you don't want to walk a lot. Great scenery and culture. I did not realise how much I would love Budapest. Such a fun and vibrant city with so much to see and do (the caves, the baths, museums, galleries, churches (the Basilica is beautiful), great food, bakeries and patisseries wherever you go). The scale and architecture of the buildings are amazing. Being just a short flight from the UK it is a great destination for a 3 or 4-day city escape. Szentendre is also not far away and has a great Mediterranean feel if you'd like to venture further. Lángos (a deep-fried flatbread) is a great Hungarian street food which you've got to try when you're there. We will definitely be back one day.Guest review byToinetteUnited Kingdom
