We arrived by boat through the archipelago so didn’t go on an archipelago trip but would have done so if not. We enjoyed the Royal Palace and changing of the guard (12.15), the Viking Museum, Stradhuset tower gave fab views over the city (take the lift for the first part), ABBA Museum, Cathedral, burial church. Underground was easy to use and not expensive (k26 for seniors and you can hop on and off for 75 mins for same ticket. Buses also good but you can’t buy two tickets on the bus with one card. We should have got a travel pass for two days. If going by underground to the airport get the pink line commuter train to Marsta and then the bus to Arlanda (much cheaper than the pink line direct to the airport.) We had a nice meal at Cafe Tranan - ask for meatballs although not on the menu. Unless you like noise eat downstairs near the bar!

We visited seven museums and art galleries.
We visited seven museums and art galleries. Transport was easy using a 72 hour pass which covered bus, tram and metro. The weather was sunny and warm. the hotel is outside of the city so there is no choice of eating out in the evening. During the day there are plenty of open air cafes in the city.

Stockholm is fantastic, there is so much to explore!
Stockholm is fantastic, there is so much to explore! The museums, cultural sites and old town are all within a very small area so it is easy to explore, but the city itself stretches much further out. Now that I have been there a few times, I enjoy exploring different neighborhoods where the locals live. I love to swim at the many beaches in the summer, when the sun stays up until 11 pm and rises very early! It is super easy to get around on public transit and there are tons of restaurants and cafes to choose from. I am allergic to gluten and it is easy to find allergy-friendly food.

Beautiful old town, Skansen with all scandinavian animals,...
Beautiful old town, Skansen with all scandinavian animals, old swedish houses, and people wearing clothes from XIX century, telling about life in that times. Fantastic amusement park - Grona Lund (not only for children :)). Vasa Museum is also an unforgetable experience. I would like to come back to Junibacken - Astrid Lidgren museum. Get on The Story Train and dive straight into the magical world between the pages of books. You’ll meet Madicken, Emil, Karlsson and the others on an enchanting journey between the Swedish summer of fairytales and stories and the roaring Karma Falls. Fabulous, exciting and a little sad – exactly as it should be.

We found Stockholm to be a clean safe city with easily accessible parks and waterfront. The public transportation system was excellent and easy to navigate.
One of best days was spending time on the downtown boardwalk followed by a harbour cruise.

Bad quality of bedsheets need to pay 60.
Bad quality of bedsheets need to pay 60. Uncomfortable and noisy place. Can't trusted if you just leave your clothes under your bed. I was lost. It happened to me, the receptionist told me he asked the cleaner but nothing. So disappointed. I will not stay there again. No! No!. Anyway , thank you.
Great hotel with easy access to city center. Mattress and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in a hotel.
Great lounge for a coffee and an intense work session or simply reading a book. Pretty big deli with wonderful breakfast, even for vegetarians like us.
Rooms were very quiet and cozy, will definitely come back next time when visiting Stockholm.
PS. Hotel rooms don't have any windows because they're at -1. Wasn't a problem for us, but just so you know in case it's a show stopper for you.
I’m from Stockholm and grow up in this area. This hotel has by far one of the best location in the city centre. You have shops, coffee places, take outs, Resto, etc! all just a stone cast away. I love the location. You can use the sauna when you want , just remember that it takes ca 10 minutes for it to warm up, and to book your time slot. The showers are great. The beds are great. It’s quite. Staff are very friendly.
We choose this hotel as it offer free parking. The hotel is well located with the train station only 300 mts away ( 3 stops or 15 min and you're in Stockholm). Clever which welcome us when we arrived to check it was extremely helpful (probably the best front desk manager we had in the last 4 weeks across scandinavia). He gave us great tips on what to visit and where to eat in Stockholm.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Stockholm's historical city centre on the other side of the water. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and seating area, and the staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Also, the Södermalm island offers a 'real' (less touristy) city vibe, with great (vintage) shops and restaurants.
Quaint, friendly, super customer service In a great central location. Well decorated! Best breakfast I've ever had in 45+ years of travel. We enjoyed a dinner there, as well. We fell in love with this boutique hotel & with how service minded the staff was. It will always be a part of our fond memories of Stockholm! If we're able to return, we'd stay again!:-)
What's best of this hotel is the location. Is amazing, you have restaurants, public transportation and beautiful places to visit, really close. You can even walk to the city center and won't take long.
The breakfast is amazing, most of the good reviews talk about this and it's completely true. Although it's quite small in the inside, the structure is very pretty.
Breakfast was fabulous, the room had a great design, was very clean and confortable and the bathroom had all the things you needed (shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer). The staff was always very polite and willing to help. The pool and the sauna on the roof are worth the money. This hotel is the best choice if you travel to Stockholm.
A unique hotel! Magnetic Stockholm! Everything was perfect! Our rooms were spotless and the view unique! The location is the best possible. The rooms were cozy and had everything we needed...everything from toothbrush and coffee to small binoculars and an ironing board. We plan to return soon! It was so nice
It’s located in the best part of the city in my opinion.
Receptionists we’re extremely nice and friendly, always open for any help. Food was available during the whole time, breakfasts were nice. Next time in Stockholm I might return to this hotel :)
We have visited many countries in Europe and have stayed in many hotels, but this hotel was far the best, we really enjoy our stay. Rooms are so comfortable and spacious. Thank you. In casw we will visit Stockholm again we will definitely stay here.
This is the best located hotel in Stockholm. You get a train straight from the airport to the hotel and literally cross 20meters from station into the hotel its phenomenal. Get a premium room with panoramic views of the waterfront and City Hall.
What I liked most about the hotel is it’s location. I was able to arrive from the airport express train in mere seconds, and I was able to to travel to different parts of the best sights in Stockholm by foot and by local transit.
Perfect value for the perfect location and great design. The hotel maybe located on the best spot of Stockholm for myself. Had the great views of the city from the room. Loved the gym/spa. would enjoy staying here again.
Very friendly and helpful staff in reception.
We were very impressed with their personal knowledge of top restaurants. We also loved the room and the interior. Best hotel that I have stayed at in Stockholm.
The hotel is really grand as the name suggests. You fee like you are one of the Royal Palace’s apartments and feel important. All the staff were professional and 5 star service.
One of the best breakfasts I have had in a hotel that is considered to be low-mid budget for a place like Stockholm, for that reason alone it should be recommended to anyone.
Room was large and comfortable. Hotel was right near train station and short 10 minute walk to Gamla Stan. Staff very helpful even suggested items to do on checkout day.
Wow, what a hotel! Room was great, and the BREKFAST, the best one I've ever had in a hotel. I will defenitly stay at this hotel when visiting Stockholm again. Loved it.
