Everything was perfect for an overnight stay while walking the Rota Vicentina. Friendly staff and probably the best breakfast you’ll find along the trail.

Great place with very friendly people. We'd certainly go back. Nice jumping off point for adventures in the area. Would be fun to rent out the whole place with a group of friends and families.

We loved our stay here, being welcomed by the resident dogs and welcoming staff. We hope to stay longer in the future. They were very accommodating, the suite was clean and the breakfast fresh and delicious! Also loved our walk through the farm. Very enjoyable.

The property was beautiful! Quiet and out of town. Hugo was an attentive and informative host. We borrowed bikes to take a spin around. The breakfast was amazing!

Maria was absolutely lovely and her place was impeccable. She took the extra time to recommend places to eat in town which improved our experience. She also offered us a room which was ready early which we appreciated.

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.
Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail".
I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

It is isolated but still very near the incredible beaches of the Costa Alentejana and other facilities.
The staff was very nice, not intrusive at all and very respectful of our privacy (they even checked the best hour to clean the apartment). They brought fresh bread every morning, very much appreciated.
It was very clean and well decorated, and had everything we needed.
Very quiet and peaceful location in a beautiful region. It is perfect to spend some relaxing days.
The location is great - beautiful views of the ocean right across the street, easy to walk to town (restaurants, shops, main town beach) or on the path along the cliff, which leads to stairs down to a great beach. The kitchen was well equipped. Apartment is spacious. Although we didn't use them, there were some beach umbrellas and games available, which is very thoughtful. Easy to park on the street across from the apartment.
Pool and grounds was beautiful - very calm and relaxing. The hotel also provided bikes which were great fun to ride to local beaches (stunning). The place was run by a family who were friendly and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was best we have had in Portugal - all organic with homemade produce.
The beauty of this property is unmatched. Go here if you want a beachfront property full of beautiful art and Portuguese history. The staff was spectacular in every way. We choose to eat dinner two nights and these meals were amongst the best we had in Portugal. Our stay was the highlight of our trip.
the bike trail was really cool
the secluded beach was EXCEPTIONAL!
n yes the hike down is a bit scary but REALLY FUN AND TOTALLY DOABLE!
Breakfast was good too
Best vegan burger for lunch
Farm animals around are cute too
very peaceful and quiet
Room was very clean and quiet
Location is great near the middle of town and along the fisherman's trail itself. Rooftop seating available as well as plenty of chill out areas inside and in the internal courtyard. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom and toilet combined. A nice place overall.
I liked everything about this hostel. I have visited many low-cost hostels, hotels, refuges, guest houses etc and this was the finest. The host, Diogo, is so welcoming, the facilities for travellers are expansive for the money.
Great and helpful staff, felt like a home, had free coffee and laundry detergent plus a dryer which was great for those hiking the Rota vincentina. Location is amazing for beach sunsets and getting up early to hike in the am.
The hotel is well located but you need a car to move around. The room had what you need, bed, bathroom, mini fridge and kettle. The personal was very friendly and attentive. One of the best breakfast that I had in Portugal.
The bungalows are a wonderful retreat from some of the bigger hotels and living next an orange orchard was sublime. The staff bent over backwards to meet all our needs, and everything was perfect!
