The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)

Excellent location in centre of town. There is a busy bar on ground floor. The bedrooms are overhead. I was on the top floor of three storey building. Food is served incl evening meal if desired. Breakfast is excellent. The room was smaller than in the pic but still reasonable size for one person, slightly dated from pic. Bathroom spotless. Bed very comfy. Staff very welcoming and friendly. There is a market in the village square. Charming village, very British. I liked it.
In Rockingham Leisure Park, Hampton has a fitness center and free private parking. There is a 24-hour snack shop and rooms feature free wired internet access and an LCD TV.

Uppingham is a really pretty town with a nice range of shops and restaurants. HIghly recommend staying at The Crown pub and visiting the world-famous Goldmark Art Gallery. The art and ceramics are fantastic and the staff are very welcoming. In fact everyone we met in Uppingham was really friendly!
If you want to go for a walk / bird watching- Rutland Water is nearby.
Oakham is also nice to visit - especially the museum.

We didn’t have a long enough stay to visit Uppingham as we were getting together with family at Rutland Water. We briefly drove through it though and it looked pretty. There’s so much to do in this area, you definitely need a lot more time to explore! We only had a couple of days. I would definitely come here for a long weekend or even a week! So many lovely places to visit.

We ike the staff who are so welcoming and smile and are very helpful. We like the rooms which are clean and warm and have all the usual needs met, plus a bath !! the beds are very comfy. We like the buffet breakfast included in the cost and use of a water machine and a microwave anytime if needed. Like the secure windows on ground floor and quiet at night. Liked the Christmas tree too. Next door is a nice Indian restaurant with a terrace for eating out with a view in the summer, also they are happy for you to take you drinks to your room and ask you to leave them at the Redwings reception and they will collect them. We like the location, with a lovely view, and Redwings has nicely kept gardens. Redwings is easy to find and we visit Stamford which is not far away, We always have a nice stay, have been four times and will continue to return, very good value. We looked up Redwings web site as there are other lodges around the UK to stay at when on our travels.
This apartment is well looked after by the hosts and is situated right in the centre of Uppingham which we describe as a quaint little English town containing independent shops, a nice hotel and pubs and restaurants. We travelled by car so had easy access to the surrounding area which is very pretty - lots of little villages and village pubs. Rutland water is about a 10-15 minute drive away - we would like to stay in this apartment again and explore Rutland Water some more.
Staff very friendly.
This is a simple budget hotel. The room was clean and functional. Nothing more nothing less. Bathroom was OK - the fixtures are old but it worked ok. The outside area is well maintained.
Breakfast is served in the foyer - which is a bit weird but was OK. Fruit, yoghurt, toast, cereal, juice.
Great value place, I would stay there again on a budget, but it's not for a special occasion.
Meals could be taken in the hotel or a near by cafe it owned We chose the later . t had a very varied menu from full English with variations to more simple but delicious scaones and sandwiches. A friendly informal atmosphere with a buzz of conversation. Clearly the haunt of the locals Comfortable bed , fiendly helpful staff and the central location in a friedly old town.and lrge carpark
Richard & Janine and the staff are perfect hosts and cannot do enough for you.The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. From the minute we got there to when we left i have no complaints at all.The breakfast was superb and all top quality products. We will definately go back.
Thank you all and you are all a credit to your hotel.

Debbie made us feel so welcome. The home is beautiful, and so are the rooms. Breakfast is one of the best we've had (and we're food snobs!). Fresh local produce. We will be back next year. Thanks for a great stay in Uppingham
Very private, comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation. Couldn't fault the Topiary Barn. Smaller than we usually stay in but we enjoyed our short stay there. Lunch and evening meal excellent in the Falcon Hotel.
Very well equipped and beautifully decorated house. Ideal location for Uppingham town and Rutland. Comfortable beds, high quality bedding and towels. Kitchen ideal for cooking and a great garden area.
It was mine and my mums first time staying in Uppingham. We enjoyed staying at the garden hotel the room was nice and clean. An we had a lovely view of the garden. The staff were friendly too.
Found the staff friendly and helpful
Found hotel clean and tidy and hygiene excellent and organised
The room was above average every thing working and up to date more than expected
Spacious and well decorated apartment ideally located for exploring Rutland and within easy walking distance of Uppingham centre. Pretty and private outdoor space. Dedicated parking
Great location and value for money. A great restaurant next door for meals and small shop at the garage made if very convenient. The hotel was very quiet at night.
Very good continental breakfast was included into the room rate. Redwings Lodge is close to Rutland waters. Just 10 mins by car and lot of parking places available.
Quaint hotel in a quaint village. Great food options, even for a vegan. Room service was not available from the adjacent bar. Everything was perfect otherwise.
Excellent location, food was very good. The hotel was better than anticipated and we really enjoyed our stay. We have already recommended it to friends.
