😀😀😀Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean, never stayed at a place where they gave you so much coffee, milk, sugar and even hot chocolate in the room, which was a nice extra, had full English breakfast which was cooked perfect and plenty, car parking available close by for a small charge of £5 for our entire stay, will be returning for another perfect happy stay 😀

We've visited the last 40 odd years....a lovely seaside town with the added bonus of spectacular scenery. The Mawddach Estuary and Bridge make it for us but equally when the kids were young there was the beautiful beach and places to go crabbing. We used to cycle along the old Mawddach railway track with them in their seats on the back. Wonderful walks, lots to do and explore.

Barmouth is a lovely seaside town in Wales.
Barmouth is a lovely seaside town in Wales. It is not overcrowded with activities which means it has kept some of its charm but there is plenty to do. There is a nice beach, a small funfair, a couple of amusements, donkey rides and plenty of lovely places to eat. The harbour is worth a visit and a lot of people enjoy fishing for crabs off the pier. We took a beautiful ferry ride one morning over to Fairbourne and caught a small steam train along the peninsula taking in the sprawling estuary on which Barmouth sits and it is sandwiched between the Snowdonia mountain range. A beautiful view of sea and mountains.

I booked here not knowing what to expect, but thinking it could be some sleepy little fishing town with not much on. But its proximity to the mountains - we came to walk Cader Idris - coupled with the fact that there was a beach was appealing to us.
When we arrived we found a clean, well-maintained town with plenty of options for food and drink, a decent selection of shops - which were thankfully not all tat-filled giftshops, a lovely beach with arcades and a small selection of rides for children.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay that isn't too heaving so that you can relax, unwind in nature, visit the beach, or take in some of the walks, I would recommend a visit.

Beach is beautiful and lots to do with the high street, fun fair and arcade. Lots of places to eat and drink and plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the views. I think no more than a couple of days is about the right amount of time to explore. Plenty of places to park and train station is right in the heart of Barmouth.

Barmouth is a really pretty little town, lovely little beach...
Barmouth is a really pretty little town, lovely little beach & sand dunes to walk in. We visited in January so it was nice & quiet, although nice to see plenty of people walking their dogs. We wanted to eat in The Last Inn but they were fully booked, recommend to book in advance. Enjoyed a nice meal in The Barmouth Bar & Grill.
On arrival we got free parking outside and had lots of spaces, Paul met us on arrival and explained everything perfectly and we got into our rooms. The rooms were big and spacious. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Great start to the day! The hotel is really central to everything around and we did a lovely walk to Fairbourne. Never been to Barmouth before and had a wonderful time. Hotel was also extremely clean! A big bonus was we could watch Netflix through the TVs! Massive thank you to the team at Leamington!
This was a fabulous experience in a gorgeous hotel with an amazing view of where the estuary meets the Irish Sea. Gary the manager was incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of options. The bar, sitting area, and outdoor area were all beautiful overlooking the bridge and water. Loved this place and can't wait to come back, enjoy the hotel and run on the Mawddach trail again.
We had an extremely comfortable stay with a seaside view. Our seven year old enjoyed the daily jokes by the host. The rooms were very well equipped, along with pointers to some great restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. The host updated us on the daily activities in town which was a great help. Overall a very lovely stay. Would highly recommend.
Everything! Unusual 19th Century house adapted to a hotel in the 1950's and yet stylishly upgraded without losing its period atmosphere. Genuinely friendly and helpful family team provided a smoothly run performance throughout our stay. The panoramic seaviews from perhaps a 100ft up gave a broad perspective of Barmouth and wonderful sunsets.Having to leave
Lovely ,friendly staff who made time to speak and get to know you ,even though we had a short stay we were made very welcome ,breakfast was tasty and lots on the menu,we didn't have dinner in the hotel by choice but it was available..bar was open to guest and public until late .access to our rooms and the hotel whenever we wanted .Right on the sea front 🙂
