There were no foldable luggage racks so we had to put suitcases on bed or floor. But the clean towels were stored on the bed. Odd

The staff were just off the scale friendly and welcoming. Experiences like this are why independents can be so great. Handwritten welcome note and cake in the room! Excellent food too, a lovely venue, good car parking, and a ridiculously good value price. Wish it had been more than a flying visit on business

It’s winter so much of the town is closed however for hikers and the like, it’s an excellent time to visit. In the summer, Charmouth can be very busy, especially the beach., but iconic beach, beautiful setting.

We stopped for a week and I could definitely have stayed longer, money allowing. I really like Charmouth. We went the first time probably 10 years ago and wanted to go back. I was not disappointed. I only went for fossil collecting, and came back very happy.

Wonderful beach for fossil hunting. Make sure you visit the discovery centre on the beach to check out tips on fossil hunting. Staff are very helpful. Charmouth is very small with 2 great pubs and a fish and chip shop so evening meals are limited . Bookings needed for The Royal Oak, but we'll worth it. The stay was perfect !! Accommodation perfect, host very friendly & helpful. Spacious car park , easy access to beach. Beautiful room , lovely breakfast. Super clean. Good pub / restaurant in the town

We went for the fossils so although it was the wrong time of year the process of looking was satisfactory and we had booked a fossil your with Lyme Regis museum which was very good. Depending on the tides you can walk along the beaches easily and walk from Charmouth to Lyme Reis easily.RosieSouth Africa - 10Scored 10
On a sunny day, you would not want to be anywhere else!
On a sunny day, you would not want to be anywhere else! The sea is shallow and warm. You can walk along the coast, paddling most of the way , to Lyme Regis. There are also many inland footpaths. In the village itself there are a couple of lovely cafes and a couple of pubs. A lovely place to visit.

The owner provided a fan when requested and it helped on the days when it was hot and humid outside. The owner thought of everything a traveler might need. The Jurassic Coast bus comes every hour and provides comfortable transportation from Charmouth, to Lyme Regis and beyond. The location is convenient for travelling to towns and resorts both to the East and the West, and Charmouth itself is a great place to visit and stay. The apartment is well equipped, clean and has amenities that many other places don't (e.g. picnic set, Netflix) and the 'welcome wine' was very much appreciated!
