The room was large and had very comfortable beds. Our son loved that his separate bed sort of had its own little wrap around headboard - a sort of nest just for him for lack of a better word. Cleanliness was outstanding and the location was PERFECT. Desk staff was super helpful and the breakfast had plenty of options even for my dairy-restricted needs. The hotel entrance is right next door to one of the cinnamon sugar wrap bread cone places and it smelled SO YUMMY every time we came in or out. Very easy walk to the Charles Bridge and the clock square as well as the subway. Lots of good shopping and restaurants in the area. Right in the middle of everything, but so quiet in the room.

The hotel is located in historical building, just couple of minutes from Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square. We have been welcomed by the hotel owner Chris, who is an amazing host and who takes great care of the hotel and his guests. We have been provided with welcome drinks at the small cafe, which is right next to the reception and ended up talking to Chris for some time, which we really enjoyed. The design of the hotel is beautiful, mixture of old and new, very nicely done! The room had everything we needed, we slept very well. Breakfast was served in cute breakfast room with access to the inner courtyard open terrace. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. Shout out to David, who was cooking/serving breakfast and at the same time operating the reception. Very funny and friendly guy. It was dreamy stay! Thank you, we will be back soon!

The location is excellent – very close to the city center and just a 5-minute walk to both tram and metro stations. The reception staff are very attentive and helpful. Housekeeping service was very good. The room was spacious, with high ceilings that added an extra sense of openness. There was plenty of space to store our luggage. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There is also a supermarkets and restaurants nearby that stays open late. Wi-Fi worked very well throughout our stay

The staff was friendly. This hotel is located a bit far from the center, but there are no crowds of tourists - a great place to relax. Breakfast was good, it is better to come early - at 10.30 am there are already quite a lot of people. It is great that there are tables in the green area outside.

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Prague is a beautiful city with many sights to see.

Prague is a beautiful city with many sights to see. However, it can become quite busy in the high-season especially around Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. It can become so busy that it isn't fun anymore. I also find that the food is expensive in the tourist spots and a lack of water fountains therefore forcing visitors to buy over priced water at the numerous "souvenir" shops. But do try the Czech potato dumplings, they are great or maybe I just like dumplings/potatoes. The most surprising location that I thoroughly enjoyed was the national museum. The two highlights in there was the 20th century History exhibit, especially the touch screen in the politics section that can be used as 20th century Czech history 101 course. The amount of information I gleaned from that. And the other part being the natural history section. A) A section on Lichens is a major plus. B) Furthermore I found the information and the explanation of the diversity of species was excellent. Usually a natural history exhibit just display animals but doesn't discuss the phylogenetic trees and comparative physiology especially to such a degree. I can't remember the last time I went to a natural history exhibit that discused lanclets and tunicates. Other fun things is to tour behind the clock in the old town hall, or do a guide tour through the old city.

It was the cleanest city I’ve been in.

It was the cleanest city I’ve been in. The Old Town was stunning and great to walk around. The most surprising thing for me was the car scene in Prague - Lamborghinis, Ferraris, G-Wagons, etc. The food was excellent and affordable - go to Sakana if you love Asian Cuisine and Fat Cat if you’re in the mood for a burger. I’d happily come back to Prague.

    Prague is stunningly beautiful.

Prague is stunningly beautiful. So much to see and do, a very historic city. The subway and bus system make it very easy to get around, we found no need for a car. Not to miss locations if you visit Prague - the Charles Bridge (with a terrific view of Prague Castle, especially at night) and the 600 year old Prague Astronomical Clock which chimes on the hour between 8am - 11pm. I had the pleasure of seeing the Dvořák Symphony Orchestra perform Vivaldi's The Four Seasons at St. Giles' Church - the acoustics were outstanding as was the orchestra and soloists and the 650+ year old church is stunning. My son and husband enjoyed a soccer game, too. Changing of the guard occurs at Prague Castle at noon daily which we were able to see and the palace tour is worthwhile. If you enjoy shopping there were lots of opportunities to purchase handcrafts made by local artists, and the food and beer were quite tasty as well. I highly recommend the goulash in the bread bowl at the restaurant on the corner close to the hotel.

Prague has so much to see - you can leave out the major sites like Prague Castle (long queues and crowds( yet still experience some of he finest buildings anywhere. Don't forget the less obvious things such as travelling by tram or the boat that crosses the river at Vysehrad,

Great old town and deep dive into the history of the.Bohemian kings and heritage. However, sightseeing has become terribly expensive: Adult plus child pay 32 euros for the Jewish quarter and 50 euros for Prague castle (mainly churches! plus castle hall and tower). The Prague municipality wishes to reach Paris or New York price levels?

The location is the best in Prague in the midddle of the old town square which is pedestrian with lots of restaurants and most importantly absolutely opposite the world famous clock. After a long day of sight seeing we would have a glass of wine in our hands and watch the clock chime from the comfort of the Grand Hotel Prague's gorgeous lounge. A sight that absolutely must not be missed.
