The woman at the front desk was one of the nicest hotel employees we have encountered in Europe. In addition to the free welcome drinks and discount cards, the woman was eager to help out with anything we needed. We had a 04:00 departure, and the gentleman offered us bottled water before we left.

The reception staff were absolutely AMAZING!!! We had less than 24 hours in Prague and when we first arrived we were able to check in to our room early and the staff immediately asked if we wanted a city map and gave us recommendations to restaurants and a general itinerary to the different “must-see” sights to visit. They even gave us a free water instead of having to pay the vending machine and ordered us a ride-share. We also purposely booked this hotel because it was right across the street from the train station and we had an early morning train, so it was VERY convenient.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. I would love to return to Prague but it will be in the off season. I would not fight these over the top crowds again I thought being there the first couple of days in June we would be ok but I was wrong. The city is an incredible history lesson so take the kids out of school. Learn the public transportation system before you go. Be in shape the castle is about 100 meters strait up, research the beers you want to try. My husband spent a lot of time with a beer in one hand watching crazy tourist. Know that smoking is allowed outside on the terrace of the eating establishment. Prague has fantastic traditional food but surprisingly great Vietnamese dishes as well We spent 4 days and it was not enough.

We loved Prague I last visited 8 years ago and it was just as interesting and exciting to visit a second time, I wish we had booked for a longer trip - we ran out of time to see all the things. The city is steeped in history, art and culture. The local people that we met were charming and helpful and to my shame all spoke very good English.

One advice I would like to pass on to the Tourist.
One advice I would like to pass on to the Tourist. Please don not book HOP on Hop Off service in hurry. We booked for 24 hours, which included 4 services. But the all services are running from 9:00 am up to 5:00 pm only. Check this schedule, if is fitting to your stay there. We could hardly use this service even though we paid heavy amount.

It was still crowded, despite not being high season for tourists. I enjoyed walking around the streets, taking in the atmosphere. Local transport is free for people over 65 (you may need to show photo id) and the tram & bus network is excellent.
The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful and the room very comfortable with great amenities. There were so many options available at the breakfast buffet and the coffee was delicious. There is free water, tea, cappuccino available in the lobby all day and there is a bar on site. They really think of everything here to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was also very reasonably priced. The hotel is in a central location, just a few minutes walk to the old Town Square. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
I loved everything about this hotel. It was immaculately clean and always smelt fresh (I guess that's why it's named Hotel Essence)! Breakfast was good and the location of the property was excellent - 5 minutes walk to the Old Town square. The rooms are a great size with an oversize bathroom. However the best thing about this hotel is the Reception staff - they were super friendly and helpful whenever I had any questions. The best trained staff I have come across in my 2 months of travel across Europe😊
This Hotel is located in the nice and calm neighbourhood Holesovice some 4km north of the old town square. To get to the city centre you can take the tram (stop some 300m away) which will only take approx. 15mins. Our room and the Hotel in general was really clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was included and very delicious and very varied. Parking was also free, either in the underground car park or opposite the Hotel entrance in the street. So good value for your money.
The building and room were excellent, beautiful, clean, and historic. The building is right next to the Charles Bridge giving easy walking access to castle hill. It is also a quick walk from the old town square. The bus runs right outside and the metro station is only a few blocks away. The breakfast may be the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect. Can’t say enough good about this hotel.
The outside of this hotel looks like nothing special, but inside it's full of beautiful, old-world elegance. The view from our room over the river was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to many attractions including the Charles Bridge, and Christmas markets in the Old Town Square. If travelling light, it's a nice walk through the back streets (2km, about 20 minutes) to the main railway station of Praha hl.n.
The location is great - only 5 minutes walk to the Old Town Square. Reception staff and breakfast staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The breakfast room was staffed so well and the staff were extremely efficient in clearing and setting tables. They also checked food levels - one of the best run breakfast rooms we have encountered. Our room was a good size. Hotel is extremely clean. Next time we are in Prague would definitely stay here.
Lovely hotel, rooms were spotless and large. We booked a triple and we had plenty of space.
Breakfast was good with a variety of choices.
Hotel is close to the Old Town, took us about 15min walk to get to the Astronomical Clock.
Plenty of small corner shops around.
An exchange is close by and the rate was the best we could find compared to city centre. As you turn right going out from the hotel you'll find it in about 300-400m.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the main train and main bus station in Prague, so used Google navigator for that which wasn't bad. It's also very close to the astronomical clock off the main old town square, so that makes it easy too. Check in and check out were quick, and one of the front desk folks always seemed to speak English which was great. Room was very clean and what we expected for the price.
Room was lovely, overlooking a small square and you could see church towers. The walls are 2 feet thick so very quiet. Reception desk staff were wonderful! Iana was very helpful. We loved the welcome gifts, very thoughtful.
Location of the hotel is perfect. We easily walked everywhere. It is only 75 yards from the old town square. Would definitely stay there, room 22, again.
Breakfast buffet was remarkable.
The best thing about this property is the location. It is in the middle of Wenceslas street where you are within walking distance to Mustek metro station and a team stop. The exit of the hotel is just a few meters away from Primark. You can walk for 15 minutes to Old town square which is one of the most popular tourist destination.
Everything was great. The staff was very pleasant, the room clean and tidy. Parking in the hotel garage is available for an additional fee and cannot be reserved, so you need to be lucky to find a free spot. The breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect, half a minute from Powder Gate and 3 minutes from Old Town Square.
The location is good and approximately a 10 minute walk from old town square. The hotel is nice and clean with good food and nice, spacious rooms which are kept maintained and replenished during your stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful with knowledge of the city and nothing is too much trouble.
beautiful hotel, busy but not too busy - great breakfast selection and nice bar/restaurant - easy access to the old town square, very helpful staff and a few nice complimentary touches - and best of all they rearranged the booking several times due to the pandemic with no quibbles whatsoever.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is close to the main train station and to the old town square and despite being at a very busy intersection the room was very quiet. No street noise. Breakfast was ok too. The hotel itself it's beautiful, well lit and nicely decorated.
Breakfast was excellent. Great Location for hotel - was a very short walk (maybe 100 meters from hotel) to old town square. Maybe 1/3 a mile easy walk to Charles Bridge. The ambiance of the hotel was a throwback to an older time. Very Cool!
One the best location to stay in Prague i appreciate the hotel staff and there welcome style specially. Its on very prime location 2 minutes walk only to old town square and famous places in Prague. I would recommend everyone.
The hotel was in the middle of the city (can get to old town square in 5 mins) and all the staff was very friendly and accommodative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, perfect for a long weekend stay.
The hotel has excellent location, 2 min walk from the old town square and it's in a quiet alley. The room was specious and clean. The breakfast was good and the staff were very polite.
