The location is perfect to see the Northern Lights. We saw it twice right from our cabin. The location was also very near the ski lifts and tobogganing slopes. We also appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen and clothes dryer that could warm your clothes on a very cold day! The heated glass roofs also ensured we always had a clear view of the sky. We walked down town (about 25 minutes slow walk) to get groceries to cook, though the uphill could be a challenge. The personal sauna was a bonus. We booked the taxi airport transfer through the property and the lady was great. She helped us with our luggage and opened the doors for us, which was very helpful since it was a self check-in property and it's not always easy figuring things out in the cold!
Located in the picturesque nature of Finnish Lapland, this hotel is close to Saariselkä’s top skiing and hiking trails. There is also spa with a sauna, hot tub and indoor swimming pool.

It was the best decision to stay at this property far away in the wilderness. We opted for half board (food was delicious) and all activities offered by the resort and it made our stay super convenient and memorable. Highly recommend this property and their activities.
The peaceful Lapland Hotel Riekonlinna is 1640 feet from Saariselkä village, right next to Urho Kekkonen National Park. Guests can enjoy free sauna admission and access to excellent skiing.

I loved everything about this trip. Your staff was wonderful and the front desk ladies were more than helpful! Breakfast was wonderful, as well as getting on the bus daily was so easy. I would suggest this hotel to anyone.

Experience of Igloo stay was as expected. Room & Bathroom too small. Not even a proper mirror in the room/bathroom. Resort location is quite good - just off the main road and very short walk from bus station.
Located in Saariselka Ski Resort, this guest house offers free access to a communal sauna and Lapland-style rooms with wooden interiors, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.

If you're going skiing, Saariselkä is a good option and you can stay there for a week, for example.
If you are looking for the Northern Lights, maybe 3 nights would be ok, but you you should pray for good weather, with clear skies, and , of course, for the aurora to appear.

Saariselka has everything you need for a winter lapland trip! The ski resort is at walking distance, there are more than three DMC's to chose from when booking trips, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs. THe supermarket is big for a small town and offers all you need. Note that you can't buy wine in the supermarket but there's a small store next to it called Alko where you can pick up a bottle of wine.

It is a small and quiet town. Air is very fresh. Trees with snow on it are very beautiful. You can have many snow activities here. If you stay several days and the weather is good, you may have opportunity to see Aurora.
Bus is very convenient. You can go from Rovaniemi. You can also take bus to Ivalo and Ivalo airport.
Restaurants are very good in this small town.

It is a very beautiful place, but it is expensive. I just stayed for one night in a beautiful cabin. I think that the food is ok and also there could be some more interesting things to in the Hotel do when it gets dark.

You can do many activities - skiing, biking, hiking, relaxing, observing, and enjoying Lapland nature. You have a big chance to see the Aurora Borealis. There is a very comfortable and understandable system of day huts and wilderness huts with essential equipment in and out of the national park — an excellent place for people who love nature.
I booked a one night stay, Feeding Reindeer and Photography experience and Private Barrel Sauna experience. Let me just say that this has been the best place I have stayed in Lapland! They have amazing hospitality and the dinner was simply amazing!!! And yes, it’s included in the price of accommodation. The presentation of the food is just awesome. The Aurora Village team was very friendly and helpful. If you are planning to come to Lapland, this place is a must to stay for one night. You will not regret.
Our stay here was everything we could’ve wanted and more! The hotel is very nice and had everything we needed, including activities like snowmobiling. the location is prime - it’s close enough to the village and in a good spot to potentially see the northern lights. The staff was exceptional, as was the breakfast! The Aurora cabin itself was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for! The snowy landscape was breathtaking of course, and the design of the whole hotel compliments it well.
Located in the quiet forest, the igloo provides an unforgettable experience of a white Christmas. Each igloo is equipped with the facilities that ensure a comfortable stay during the winter season, with its cozy and delicate design.
The owners surely have a good taste and also a good understanding of the guests, which we can read from all the details of the service, as well as the family-like atmosphere. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in Aurora Queen Resort Igloo.
The hotel is very well located in Saariselkä. The breakfast selection is great and top class. Everything you desire and need. The personnel is very friendly and service oriented. As many hotels in Finalnd, it would need a general renovation of the hotel as such , specially the rooms. Therefore the price -value is ok for Finnish standards, but in mid europe it would be a 2 star categorie due to the small rooms ( standard class) and the old outlook.
Our AirBNB apartment had so many problems that we couldn't even spend one night in it. Holiday Club Saariselka to the rescue! We booked online at 11.20pm, took the short walk across the town and checked in within ten mins. The staff were brilliant, understood the frustrating position we found ourselves in and went out of the way to be helpful.
The apartment was smaller than we had planned for but worked for our purposes that week.
We fell in love with this small cottage 6’ away from Saariselka, in the middle of the Lappish forest.
The structure is very cleaned and fitted with everything necessary, including a private sauna, a fireplace, wood for the fire, and sleighs.
Right behind the house is a clearing with no light pollution where we could see the northern lights.
The owner is very kind and available.
Highly recommended for a magical stay.
The staffs were very informative and very nice. The first 2 nights, we stayed in those huts with sauna inside and the third night upgraded to Kelo room with glass igloo and sauna. We had the reindeer aurora hunting at night which was an excellent experience and husky ride in the morning. Both activities were closed to the resort. The hotel is in a good location and we will go back again.
Amazing resort in the northern heart of Finland. Great value!
Splendid food at the restaurant. Super tasty. Great igloo that is well designed to offer a clear view of the sky without light glare on the windows.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. Get some tours, we liked the ski experience.
Lovely little chalet ,warm& cosy ,my 2nd stay at saariselka in Sopppuka chalet . Parking just outside with a car heater point which was a bonus with temperatures down to minus24degrees. The chalet is well kitted out ,close to restaurants, tour companies & the ski bus stop .
USuperb place.
Away from Saariselka village. In wilderness.
Perfect placement of the glass roof facing north.
Heavenly view of the sky in the night. Experience of Northern lights was out of this world.
Good food. Must try Sauteed Reindeer.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great cabin on top of the mountain in a great location for the ski slope. Good amenities in the cabin. We only stayed one night but if I were skiing in Saariselka, this cabin would be perfect as self catering accommodation right by the chair lift.
Clean rooms, it has all the facilities you need, quiet hotel. Breakfast buffet is included. The location is very good, it’s in the middle of nature with direct access to walking/ski paths and is dark at night.
Very good value for the price.
The location was excellent. Saariselkä is small so everything is walking distance. Safaris, grocery store, ski lifts etc.
The Paraspaikka apartments had a Sauna in them which was great.
Staff was nice and helpful.
Breakfast was ok.
Amazing apartment with great facilities. Awesome views, Dry and covered parking, Big bathroom with sauna, Kitchen with all basic amenities. Close to all attractions in Saariselka. Very responsible host.
The owners were very helpful and also the location was amazing, very close to the centre of Saariselka by car! We just loved the small street where the accommodation is!
EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT! Natasha our host was great, very helpful and always reachable. When we visit Saariselka next time we’ll definitely stay again at this villa.
Jacuzzi with 40 degrees water when its -20 outside , while watching sunset over the snow-covered fields of Saariselka is something You will never forget ;)
This was our 2nd Stay with Holiday Club Saariselka and we loved the convenience and the comfort of staying in the apartments of Holiday Club Saariselka
