Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall.

Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall. People are friendly and hospitable. Tons of restaurants, shops, cafe's, and there is a Town Hall that has entertainment, movie house so a short stay here would be filled with lots to do. The Cathedral is a lovely place to visit and there is lots to do from this central point. Hire a car and head to Newquay, Falmouth or St Ives for the day.

    City centre was lovely!

City centre was lovely! We enjoyed meandering through the cathedral (which was very grand, the architecture absolutely brought me to tears, managed to light a prayer candle for lent, also they have an ongoing exhibit about awareness of abuse in the church) and the cornwall museum is closeby :D they have wacky artefacts. The coffee and cornish pasties and the pastries are the bomb dot com but the other grub not so much, i mean, it's just typical british fare innit haha also truro station connects easily to penzance and the other more touristy bits. Transportationwise, quite hard, buses are a little but unreliable even with the time table. Not much uber drivers but the taxis are popping. There are taxis around the station and they have a taxi calling app and there are cards that you can get from the accommodation. Pretty old timey but charming.

Truro is an attractive small city and it’s easy to find parking and to walk around the shops and see the cathedral. There are plenty of places to have coffee or lunch. The bus station is right beside the shopping area, which has a large Marks and Spencer’s, which has a cafe, a large branch of Waterstones as well as a good selection of independent shops and an indoor market.

Great base for exploring Cornwall but not sure what it’s like in summer. We parked in the town with ease but we visited in November. Masses of shops. It is the county town so is a magnet for shoppers. Cathedral and Cornwall Museum worth a visit. Hall for Cornwall has a variety of shows. Thoroughly enjoyed the pasty shop for lunch. Check roadworks though. A30 was closed intoTrurofor the whole weekend whilst work is going on building the new by pass. It took us ages to follow the detour.

I did want to explore the town a bit more, especially the cathedral, but this visit was to see a show and I had to return the next day. I had a meal at an Italian restaurant literally up the road from the hotel, it was decent enough.

Truro is a lovely place to visit.

Truro is a lovely place to visit. Old and new buildings to see and plenty of places to go. Resturants of many different cuisines and a nice open area to sit and chill with a coffee. There is a beach, about 7 miles away, (Perranporth) which is lovely and has the traiditional fish and chips, kiss me quick hats etc and you're not too far away from the north side so Newquay etc is all available within 45 to 60 minutes in the car. Supermarkets are a plenty in and around Truro too. The catherdral is a must to visit. A beautiful building and well worth some time spent.

A beautifully sheltered little community of holiday homes. Peaceful, clean and luxurious. The host gave simple instructions with a useful photo near the end to ensure the final turn was made correctly, and the key system worked well. Everything inside was perfect - terrific white goods, comfy sofas and beds. Two excellent showers. Only a minute or two's drive from the edge of Truro. A great bolt-hole from which to explore Cornwall's north and south coasts. The kids absolutely loved it.

Great location. Lovely hideaway Lodge on the outskirts of Truro. Dog friendly property and area. Makes a fantastic base for exploring Cornwall. Beaches within short distance in the car. A very quiet and peaceful location - perfect to unwind and relax. We slept so well due being no noise from outside. The lodge was cosy and we enjoyed making use of the outside patio and furniture on the sunny days. A traditional cream tea on arrival was a welcome touch from the owners Janet and Luc.

the breakfast was a bit basic but plenty of it. We could help ourselves to bread and top ups of breakfast cerials. The hosts were super friendly and attentive , very pleasent and easy going. The beds were comfortable and the the tent spacious. The site was very good ,only the two bell tents with a privacy screen between them. Lovely hot showers and a small shared kitchen area which was adequate for our stay. Great location for getting around Cornwall.rking space next to the tent.

Our room (superior) vas large with a beautiful view, quiet and very comfortable. Our host gave us very good advices on places to see, places to avoid as well, restaurants where to eat. The farmhouse is very well located close to Truro at a central point in the Cornwall. Breafkast was excellent, with very good local products. Our host was also very attentive to distanciation and we appreciated that (Covid). We would definitely like to stay again at the farmhouse

The owner was really lovely and welcoming. I didn't feel like a stayed at a hotel...felt like their house. Little things like pillow spray, sweets, bottled water, bath products. Really really lovely. I would definitely stay here again!! And the food in the restaurant was amazing! And they noticed I was a vegetarian at dinner and they had a vegetarian breakfast waiting for me in the morning. Very nice people, very nice hotel!!

Cottage is beautiful, home from home. Enclosed garden, very dog friendly and lovely location for morning and evening sniffing walks for the pup. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, Liz. Very lovely lady. There were essential provisions left for us, which meant we didn't have to go to the shop on the first day. Great base for days out, visiting different parts of Cornwall and close to city centre.

A great location with amazing, huge rooms which were extremely comfortable. The Townhouse has a pretty garden that you can sit out and relax whenever you want to. We had a continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning which you could eat either in your room or in the garden. We also had room service each day of our stay! I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I cannot wait to go back!

Excellent service, amazing food and very well catered for vegetarians and vegans. I was blown away by the choice for vegans at breakfast. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first and last night. Room was lovely, modern bathroom. Staff couldn't do enough for you, always with a smile. Location was very handy for walking into town and exploring Cornwall.

Continental breakfast was generous with hams and cheeses as well as a variety of cereals and pastries. Also, fresh fruit was available with natural yoghurt or Greek yoghurt. Restaurant was excellent for later in the day. The hotel was in the centre of Truro with easy access to the city centre shops, Hall of Cornwall and Arts Centre.
