The windows opened & we loved having some fresh air. Room was good-sized & bed was comfy. Overpriced, but then the dollar /pound rate sucked when we were there. We are not breakfast eaters so can't comment on the dining room. Great location.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

What Guests Said About Edinburgh:

Edinburgh is a fantastic city to visit.

Edinburgh is a fantastic city to visit. We loved the city and being there when the Fringe was on was amazing. Definitely pay to ride the open topped bus and go to Newhaven to see The Royal Yacht. This is money well spent and you can get a great meal in the tea room on the Yacht. The castle was ok, but if we hadn't gone to it I wouldn't have felt I had missed anything, though you can see the Scottish Royal jewels and it is steeped in history. But I found out what I wanted to know from the tour bus. The Dome is a great place to eat and drink for that special occasion. Grassmarket is a great place for food and drink and we had a fabulous meal in a French restaurant sitting outside. Edinburgh has something for everyone. The public transport was so easy and cheap so getting around was not a problem and the locals are only to happy to offer guidance if you do get lost. Would highly recommend this city.

I love Edinburgh and have stayed many times.

I love Edinburgh and have stayed many times. We were visiting as singing in the fringe. It was so crowded though and we wouldn’t visit during the fringe again. The whole festival seems just too much and everything is certainly much dearer.

Something for everyone in Edinburgh if you are prepared to walk round and explore, also easy to escape the busy old town and fringe if you need to chill. Head to the New Town & walk the water of Leith to Stockbridge & Canonmills, plenty of excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants off the beaten track offering better value than in the center.

Great location for catching the tram/bus to the airport or into Edinburgh city centre. Also easy enough to stroll into the centre and sitesee as you go along.
