The refurbished Steventon House offers fine comfort, a striking wine bar and an exquisite brasserie restaurant amid the Oxfordshire countryside.

Excellent large room overlooking the trees out front. Welcoming staff who helped carry out bags up the stairs, noticing my injured hand. Pleasant lady in the spacious breakfast room, who was efficient and helpful. Handy position just off the busy A34, great for a stopover.

Very cozy and lovely town, full of fields and gardens to walk, explore and love. Long path through the River Thames and some options to hire kayaks and stand up paddle. Lots of traditional pubs in the town center and very good cafes & restaurants with all kinds of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very friendly place for dogs including hotels and restaurants. I can't wait to come back.

We'd just missed the farmers market on Friday which was a pity. Science convention in the square on Saturday. A real hive of activity. Lots of lovely historical buildings and the Abbey gardens were lovely even on a wet march day.

We live in Leeds so the trip to Abingdon is one of our favourites .A small market town with lots of places to eat and lovely Oxfordshire countryside and wildlife. Nearby Bletchley Park is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of places to walk in Abingdon and lots of history to discover. Oxford is only a bus ride away and they are very regular .Would never drive there.

This was my second visit. This time I stayed in one of the refurbished stable rooms, which was very nice and better than the older room in the main building I had on my first visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great location and exploring the surrounding area and Abingdon on foot, from the hotel, is highly recommended. There are lots of places to eat within easy walking distance from the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinckley Court. It’s a beautiful property located as it is alongside the River Thames and the perfect spot for visiting Oxford and other nearby parts of Oxfordshire. There are many great options for eating nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Annette and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay at Dinckley Court again!

Good location for central Abingdon. Polite staff but room 1 above pub with music and noise until after midnight, so woken up when kicking out time. No tea and coffee facilities in room, but there was juice and water in fridge on the landing. Room very recently upgraded so it was comfortable and modern in an old creaky floorboards building. Felt it was expensive with no cooked breakfast.

Very handy location for us as family live in Steventon. Stayed in the accommodation that is situated off the courtyard / beer garden with your own front door. Bus stop to Abingdon and Oxford very short walk and also a coop which was handy. Car park was right next to accommodation as well so overall really handy for getting bags in. The beds were very comfortable and we would book again.

Lovely old world Inn with period decor. Excellent breakfast and we were served by a charming friendly woman who seemed keen to ensure we were enjoying the meal and getting everything we wanted. Lovely place to stay if you want to explore Abingdon and surrounds (Oxford for example). Will definitely return.

We liked the space, the big kitchen, the 2 bathrooms, the beds, the parking in front of the door. The location in the centre of Abingdon was great. We toke the bus to Oxford for £ 4 retour, the busstop was nearby and we visited some Lovely villages in the cotswolds. But we also enjoyed Abingdon.

Hotel was situated in central Abingdon, which was ideal for what we wanted to do. Our little dog was well catered for with a bed, bowls and treats. Our room was also on the ground floor which was more convenient with the dog. Breakfast was excellent and lots to choose from.
