Boscundle Manor, hotel in St Austell

Set in 2 acres of grounds, Boscundle Manor features a heated indoor swimming pool, bar and a spa. Just 1 mile from The Eden Project, the property also offers free parking and free WiFi.

The suite was extensive with a huge bathroom. Rather a bizarre configuration because it comprised various parts of an old house, but very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially accommodating our having breakfast in a separate room as we weren't feeling terribly well. The grounds were lovely, too. A lot of thought and work has been put into this hotel.

St Austell is a great base to explore Cornwall. The town isn't fantastic, but it's 5 minutes from the Eden Project, also 5 minutes to Charlestown , an historic and interesting harbour, Mevagissey is very near, and it's near to several beaches.

the location was perfect for The Eden Project and the Lost Hardens of Heligan. We walked to Carlyon Bay for a beach day and found places to eat close by in Charlestown and Mevagissey. The hotel is stylish and welcoming with a choice of places to relax indoor and outdoors. Their cream tea and breakfasts were amazing! Also, there were lovely touches like a bag hung on our door every morning with homemade muffins for a pre breakfast treat.

The location was convenient for walking into the town centre and the hotel made a good base for visiting attractions such as Charlestown, Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan as well as resorts of Mevagissy and the Padstow area. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and knowlegeable about the area

The room was too basic. Bed was uncomfortable. The "full English" was poor with my poached egg leaving the water it was poached overy plate. The tomato had a lighter held over it to "grill" it. The staff member who served us had bleach stains on his shirt. Lovely spot poor hotel.

its position! The perfect view of a wonderful bay and on a quiet private road. Everybody we talked to who stayed there seemed to feel the same. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the manager and owner George, was in the bar, most evenings chatting to people.

Breakfast was generous - and fresh fruit was lovely. For evening meals, the Kings Arms is a short walk away, and does good beer and decent pub food. For an alternative to pubs, try the Salty Bay Pizza place, a couple of miles away, and very nice pizza and salad

It’s a nice charming hotel in the heart of St Austell. The building has a long history while it’s guest rooms have been modernly refurbished. The bed is very comfortable. Also the restaurant is great and the complimentary breakfast is not bad too.
