In the ancient town of Amesbury, this charming hotel is a 17th-century Listed coaching inn, with a picturesque garden. Stonehenge and Salisbury are close by.

Old fashioned decor, very warm and atmospheric, the restaurant especially is great for food and drinks with friends. The staff is utterly amazing, attentive, professional, solicitous and able to do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and cared for. I had to check out super early and required a taxi at the crack of dawn(forgot to book ahead, too), and the amazing lady at the reception called every taxi driver in the area to find me a ride to the train station. Highly recommend and will be back time and again. I also found the beds supremely comfortable- the pillows were fluffed up like clouds and sleeping was like nestling up in a dreamscape of perfect tranquility. Thanks for everything!

We had two rooms - one for my son and the three boys and one for me. We really appreciated the "goodies" that were provided for us - oatmeal, juice, water, pastries - really saved us time in the morning when we got an early start to see Stonehenge.

Access to Stonehenge was so quick and easy.
Access to Stonehenge was so quick and easy. We could have spent another day exploring the area (other ancient forts and circles) and trying other places to eat in the town. There were 3 grocery stores - a great place to replenish your supplies. The bakery in town is first rate!!

Absolutely disappointing!!!!
Absolutely disappointing!!!! room a sham of broken furniture, stained seating chair, curtain rail that fell on you drawing curtains.... too much limescale on shower taps. Shower curtain dirty, skirting boards never been touched for months and NO CHEF!!!!!! after a 6 hr journey all we wanted was to freshen up and have a meal (as advertised) seemingly they've had no chef for over a year.... MISS ADVERTISEMENT! ...it wouldn't have mattered if alternative room was offered, sooooooooo disappointed, we just wanted to go home !

Amesbury is convenient for Salisbury, the Plain, the Artillery Centre, and Stonehenge. Well served with stores - there is an Aldi (rather hidden) and the adjacent Solstice Park has more stores. I always arrive early and have an excellent breakfast at the Friar Tuck Cafe. Plenty of car parking available. Eateries are not remarkable, but within a five mile range there are some very good pubs/restaurants.

Woodhenge is also great and Avebury as well.
Amesbury is an excellent place for the travel in a world 5000 years before today.
Close to sightseeing locations😀hotel really eye catching from the road, lovely interior, the bedroom we had spacious and bed really comfortable great nights sleep.
Hotel staff worked tirelessly to please and the service was brilliant, the 2 waitresses we had Hannah and Grace were faultless.can say we will return no question about that later in the year.all the back up services housekeeping, kitchen, were of equal value to the smooth running of this hotel.
Excellent time had there.and would certainly recommend to friends and family.
The apartment was beautifully decorated and little touches like tea, coffee and water were greatly appreciated. After a week of holiday hassle it was lovely to have some space and just relax. The host was readily available and responded promptly to any question. I will definitely be staying here again when I travel back to Stonehenge and would thoroughly recommend, and take friends along. If you are looking to stay near Stonehenge, book this place! Also had a wonderful meal in 'Piazza' in the town.
Great location for me visiting family in Amesbury. Lovely room well furnished larger than I anticipated - very comfy king size bed. Heating was on when I arrived so lovely and warm. Huge shower room with great shower. Very quiet location. Continental breakfast bag perfectly adequate for my needs. Like the position of the TV for watching whilst in bed. LOVED the fresh milk in the fridge - makes all the difference to me - I dislike the little portions of UHT!
The Antrobus Hotel is a lovely old building and the private garden was an unexpected bonus, very relaxing and you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of a busy little town. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the linen all spotless and the breakfast really excellent. I would certainly stay there again.
The location is amazing, so close to Stonehenge but also close to the centre of Amesbury. The hosts stocked everything we needed, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk so we didn't have to worry on arrival. The folder of useful information was the best we've ever seen :-)
First visit to Amesbury . I liked it. I definitely liked Fairlawn House. I highly recommend a stay and I think I'll be back. Charming place. Amazing breakfast and lovely staff. Keith and Kathy 👍 thank you so much. Victoria McLaren
Location near Stonehenge and other sites. Good price at short notice for the booking (same day), fast and friendly reception service, ample car parking.
Lively pub downstairs could be a bonus or not, depending on your preferences.
Our room inside the hotel was spacious and lovely with a queen size bad and bunk beds. The bathroom was also a good size.
Next we stayed in a hut on the property. It was lovely and quaint.
The staff were lovely and helpful.
Accomodation, staff & their Thai restaurant was wonderful. Parking was easy & inexpensive right opposite the hotel. They have a beautiful garden which we ate both breakfast & dinner, during the heatwave weekend
I liked the location very much. Easy to reach and many restaurants near the hotel. The room was clean, big enough with good air conditioning. The hotel was quiet and the staff very friendly.
