We were looking for a traditional pub in a small village and this is precisely what we got. The host was very welcoming. Also the 2 chefs and people in the pub were really nice and it was a lot of fun. Rooms looked good and were very spacious. Many lovely walks to be done round Elham and a nice fire to sit by upon return.

The room was spacious light and warm. Tea coffee and hot chocolate available. Bathroom was spacious a nice big shelf to put things on nice and warm.

Location, room was clean and warm, beds were comfortable. Pub downstairs was busy but beer was kept well

As I have a mobility scooter we were relocated to a ground floor room. This, for obvious reasons, was not the executive room for which I had paid. Also, we did not get the continental breakfast for which I had paid, at £6 per person per night. So, I reckon we are due a partial refund. I have to say, however, that John was superb and a credit to the hotel. He helped me get my scooter in and out of the hotel, as all entrances had steps.
