Good shopping centre, great riverside walks, historic buildings ( we didn't get chance to visit) and visiting loch Ness, this is 20minute bus ride away, personally I would recommend viewing from the bus as the cruise was nice but not good value for money.

It's an amazing city!
It's an amazing city! It's so beautiful, not big and crowdy, but at the same time you can find so many things to do there.
There are lots of places for a nice walk: along the river Ness, city center, Caledonial canal, woods. Loch Ness is just 20 minutes drive, castles, beaches are all not far.
The Botanical garden is small but really nice and it's free!
I enjoyed to visit Eden Court every evening - to watch a cinema or for a concert.
There are lot of nice restaurants.
The Dolphin spirit boat trip was astonishing as well!
Really recommend to visit

Everything was within walking distance of the apartment.
Everything was within walking distance of the apartment. The walk along the Banks of the River and across the bridges was exceptional particularly with the spring flowers adorning the flower beds and banks. Views to the Castle and the Cathedral made for beautiful photographs. If it's nightlife you're after plenty of pubs offering live entertainment of a high standard.
Choice of eateries to suit every pocket and every cuisine. No need to hire a car, as the bus station offers buses to a wide range of tourist destinations, Culloden, Nairn, Aberdeen, Skye and Glasgow to name only a few. We will definitely return to this vibrant friendly city. Shopping is also good both for tourist gifts and also for the shopping Mall experience in the Eastgate Centre. Maybe next time weather permitting we may see the Northern Lights? This city will leave you feeling you've had a break and enjoyed the walking experience.
The sheer cleanliness and organised nature of the rooms. It’s few minutes on the road of entry to Inverness. Parking is available and the breakfast is good. But the best part of it all is that the hosts are the friendliest people we met in Scotland. We had a flight at 7am in the morning and getting a taxi at 4am would’ve been very difficult. So, when I expressed my concerns to them, they offered to drop us to the airport. And eventually he arrived at 4.30am and dropped us to the airport.
I’ve stayed in 4 hotels this week in my trip across Scotland and this was by far head and shoulders above the rest, from the second we pulled into the car park we were flagged down and allocated a parking spot directly in front of the doors, offered a glass of champagne while we checked in, the room was stunning and every member of staff couldn’t do enough for you, location was nice as well as it was only a small walk up the river into the centre, brilliant experience thank you
- I booked very last minute - and I am so glad that I did, this was the perfect finish to my Scotland trip
- Firstly, the flat is very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated with thoughtful small touches like a cup of tea to greet you on arrival
- Above all, Karen is a wonderful host - if you can, you should book one of her dinners for a truly unique Scottish culinary experience!
- Recommend 10/10 - look no further if you are planning to stay in Inverness :)
This is a lovely cottage adjacent to the River Ness in Inverness, yet it is private, peaceful & very well-equipped. It is ideal for a couple. We stayed for 2 nights as part of a road trip through Scotland & wish that we had been able to spend 4 nights, as the cabin is beautiful & well-equipped & there is lots to do in Inverness. Zoe, the owner, is WONDERFUL! She is smart, creative, informed & has a marvelous sense of humor! You will love your stay at Wee Ness Lodge.
Strathness House is a historic mansion located in the heart of Inverness, Scotland. It boasts a perfect location, within walking distance of the city center and its main attractions, such as Inverness Castle and the River Ness.
Our room offered stunning views of the river. We liked the hotel's excellent location, its friendly and helpful staff, the historical charm of the building and attention to detail in the decor.
Full Scottish breakfast was the best in Scotland and there were many other breakfast options. The host cooked a hot breakfast for us early in the morning before our reserved tour to the Isle of Skye. The host couple were very friendly and kind. They also allowed luggage storage after check-out. The room was clean and cosy. We also liked the host's list of recommendations in Inverness.
The bed was so comfy, and more importantly the shower had been fixed from when I was staying in the same room only last week. The staff here are so helpful and friendly. Also, it's a delight to see classy biscuits on the tea tray which also allows for more than one cup of tea/coffee, instead of the usual cheap and easy style of other hotels I've visited so far in Inverness.
The property is lovely, a classic house that makes you really feel in Scotland. I really like the staff and the hospitality as well the breakfast which I recommend. The location is in a very nice neighborhood where you are surrounded by beautiful houses like the Crown house. We appreciated the services too, with nice tips on where to eat and what to do in Inverness.
Yvonne the receptionist made dinner reservations for us at a nice restaurant in town and arranged for a taxi. She made us feel very welcome and special. The included breakfast in the garden dinning room was exceptional. Eggs benedict and pancakes, couldn't ask for more. This was the best hotel experience we had during our Scotland visit.
This was my partner's favourite stay in Scotland. You really step into a new world of tranquility when you walk in. The room is very spacious, more than the photos show. It was a cold night and the heater was on waiting for us. The bed is comfy and the shower refreshing. For a getaway from the city, this was a pleasant surprise.
We were really pleased to find out that ‘pet-friendly’ is indeed VERY pet friendly.
On our round trip throughout Scotland we noticed many hotels allow dogs in the room. But Glen Mhor takes that to the next level by letting your furry buddy accompany you to the diner and breakfest.
Staff was also outstanding and friendly!
We only stayed one night at Aye Stay as we were traveling towards Isle of Skye. The decor was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. A big thank you to Roberta who gave us an ‘Aye Stay to the left bracelet’ when she found out we were driving in Scotland for the first time. 😁 Would stay here again.
Dryburgh Apt #3 was a beautifully decorated and large apartment. Centrally located in Inverness, Scotland. A short walk to city center and to the river. No problem parking on side streets with the parking pass provided. Very comfortable beds and a very stylish bathroom. Artwork was amazing.
Stay near the Caledonian Canal in the south of Inverness. Walk to the canal entry on the Beauly Firth. Watch the sunset there.
Walk into the city centre in 10 minutes.
Supermarket one block away.
We had a fine relaxing stay here.
Go- and enjoy being away from a hotel!
Very economical!! Great location, about 10 minutes to the train station. I was here for 3 consecutive cycling trips, with pickup and departure at the train station each time. This is where I'll stay the next time I travel with Wilderness Scotland from Inverness.
Russell was fun, accommodating, and made an excellent breakfast! We wish we could have had breakfast that first day but our tour left too early. Great little b&b - it's exactly what you picture for a b&b in Scotland! Cozy and lovely
The location in Inverness was great. Close to the town center, but away from the noise. The breakfast buffet was one of the best that we had in Scotland.
