First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

2 Yew Tree Cottages Culgaith Penrith: whilst the property from the outside looks nice the inside is not very clean. There is a strong smell of dog (as other previous customers have mentioned in their reviews). The photos are also very misleading.
