Thyme, hotel in Lechlade

Thyme is located on a country estate in the Cotswolds, 26.1 miles from Oxford. Guests can enjoy breakfasts and suppers in the Tithe Barn.

Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.

It's a small town on the upper Thames with an 18th-century bridge. Buscot Park (National Trust) is less than three miles away, and Kelmscott (once the home of William Morris) not much further. His friend Burne-Jones's pre-Raphaelite stained glass can be seen in Buscot church.

Riverside location and outdoor seating are were lovely. boat hire and public slip . lovely hanging baskets and tubs outside but all changes inside where tatty surroundings and lack of restaurant and bar staff is a really depressing Breakfast does not start until 9am and has no staff apart from grumpy till person trying to do all jobs. eat elsewhere. Bar rings for last orders at 9.30 on Sat/Sun. This not a hotel to enjoy , just a barely adequate place to sleep overnight.

A lovely place to stay right on the banks of the river Thames. The room was clean and comfortable with the best tea and coffee making facilities I've ever seen. If I could offer some advice it would be to upgrade the lighting in the room as it did feel a little dark.Very happy with my stay thank you.

The location is stunning as was the accommodation. Free parking was great and next to the entrance to the hotel. Amazing room, 4 poster bed, Chesterfield chairs, fireplace and glorious stonework walls. The roll top bath was a lovely bonus. Friendly barman wished us well when checking out. If you love history & medieval rooms this is for you. Loved it.

The room was a four poster and perfect for our last minute decision to have an extra night away. Very comfortable with adequate facilities but bags of history (The Swan is the oldest pub in Lechlade!) Situated in the High Street, there is very easy access to all amenities and only a 10 minute walk to the River Thames.

Had a lovely relaxing stay here, the staff were accommodating and friendly. A great bonus was the wonderful food served in the cafe on site - the breakfast was the best I've had by far! And they were more than happy to bring my meal to my room on one occasion also. Would recommend a stay here and we will be back

The village of Langford is almost unnaturally picturesque and the Bell Inn is similarly characterful; almost the Platonic ideal of a Home Counties pub. The food was great, particularly the breakfast which, unusually, felt like had been prepared with the same attention to detail as the evening meal.

Perfectly located and well equipped accommodation. Very clean and tidy, We used it for a small family reunion and there was plenty to do in the area and it was not far to travel to either Lechlade or Burford, both very attractive towns. We'll definitely recommend it to friends.
