Great location on the waterfront. We did not have a sea view room but it was very convenient to the harbor. Great staff a good tip for fish and chips for dinner at the Wee chippy.

A cosy, accommodating hostel, in an old building brimming w/personality! Excellently located. Woke up to the sound of waves slowly crashing up against the shore. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, the toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the hostel itself was inviting, charming, and wonderful. Darius was friendly, prompt, and professional. My stay in Anstruther was excellent thanks to the lovely Murray Library Hostel :-)

Anstruther is a lovely and lively little town in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. It has a very picturesque harbour, good eating places, including the wonderful and award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, a number of interesting shops and a well-stocked Co-op. It is within easy reach of other lovely little East Neuk towns/villages, including St Monans, Pittenweem and Crail, and the university town of St Andrews, which is a must for visitors to the area. The RNLI shop at Anstruther harbour has a really good selection of little presents to take home to loved ones, including the iconic yellow wellies for little feet!

Anstruther is a beautiful town, but can be very busy in summer months.
Great for a walking holiday along Fife coastal path but it is not mobility scooter friendly with narrow pavements and no dropped kerbs.
Great selection of fish and chip shops and small cafes.

A great seaside town.
A great seaside town. Plenty of great places for food and drink and brilliant views. The new Ship Tavern (bar) and The Ox and Anchor (street food) are well worth a visit, as well as some of the best fish and chips (all 3 chip shops are very good). The Bank Hotel and The Waterfront Hotel both are great places for food and good value for money. Great place to stay for a week or so!
Location was steps from the harbor and a variety of food options. 10-15 minute walk to the grocery. Excellent location for walking the coastal path. Thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated and had everything we could need. Extremely comfortable beds, pillows and living/dining furniture. Great kitchen for people who would rather eat in. Plus Fiona is lovely to work with and communicates well. Very easy check in process. Would definitely stay again and be happy to recommend this home to others. Glad The Bank was booked up!
The Bank is a converted Bank building situated in Anstruther High Street. The rear of the building looks out to the sea.
The room we had was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable with all necessary features such as tea, coffee tray, hair drier, etc. The bathroom was big and well appointed with with a good shower, bath, white fluffy towels and toiletries. The view from the window was across the mouth of the River Dreel as it met the sea. We ate breakfast and dinner while we were there and the food was fresh and tasty.

I rate this B&B very highly. One's comfortable bedroom looks out to the sea, and there is a sitting room for guests with a wonderful balcony which looks out to the sea, too. Breakfast included fresh fruit and breads and anything else in a Scottish breakfast one would want. Restaurants and shops in Anstruther are within walking distance, (no more than a half-mile), as are bus stops. The hosts are warm and friendly and fun to chat with.
The property was situated within an easy walk to the beach and the golf course. We could also walk into the town centre. It is an ideal house for a family break and the back garden is secure for children. We were also met by the host who showed us around the house and made sure we knew how everything worked. Thankyou very much Anstruther and the East Neuk of Fife is really beautiful and we had suberb weather.
Amazing property in anstruther which has been renovated to a very high standard. Exceptionally clean with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Bathrooms brilliant and beds super comfortable. Great location for exploring anstruther and the fife coast. Co-op 5 minute walk for provisions and 5 minute walk down to harbour for fish and chips. Nice outside space for sitting when the sun shines.
All the nice local touches to the decor
very quite location all be it its located between 2 roads.
Ideal for all local amenities, and grass at the school for the dog to run on in the morning.
Convenient for fife coastal path.
There is a store next door for milk etc.
The vegan cafe in Rodger street was also useful
The bank hotel/restaurant was also good.
15 mintes to St Andrews
The apartment is spacious and clean. We loved the modern decor in the living area. Centrally located in a quiet street, short walking distance into Anstruther. The host left clear instructions and the cleaning staff have done a great job in looking after the apartment. Highly recommended and we will book again when we're next in the area.
Sea breeze is beautifully decorated and super clean. It’s in a great location if you’re staying around anstruther, 5 mins to the local restaurants etc. We were in the area for a wedding so didn’t get to see as much as we’d like to but had a lovely time in the time we spent there.
I really liked the young staff working at the hotel, they were so polite and friendly. The food was absolutely excellent, I had a great curry at night and a delicious breakfast. The location was great too. I would definitely stay here again.
self catering. Breakfast was excellent, chef a marvel.Rooms and flat very clean, well appointed, modern within a traditional building.Easy access to keys. Good location near bus stops , central for walking to all amenities in Anstruther .
Very friendly manageress who was very helpful and welcoming. There were a few minor issues but nothing significant. The breakfast was definitely to my liking. I really enjoyed my visit to Anstruther and my stay in the Royal Hotel.
The owners of the Hotel were lovely and very welcoming. They were always about first thing in the morning and the evening, very visible. Gillian who was responsible for hospitality was very personable and friendly.
Royal Hotel delivered above and beyond. Great comfy room, great breakfast, great location. Dee, the manageress is extremely helpfull, welcoming and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend the Royal Hotel.
ideally located, Brackness House is prefect for exploring Fife. Robert and Catriona were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. The big Scottish breakfast and the showers were fantastic!
Cleanliness and location were perfect for us. Close to the beautiful coastal path and also local restaurants and grocery store. Multiple golf courses nearby and a short scenic drive to Saint Andrews.
I love Anstruther and as I'd enjoyed a much better and in comparison better value for money stay last year in their nearest competitors I will be back if accommodation there is available
