Room was quiet. And breakfast was good

Newly renovated, clean, nice , gave an authentic old Italian village experience near a small piazza.

Staff is friendly and location is not too far from Baccoleno. We stopped here one night before heading to Pisa and Cinque Terre. There is nothing much around this area. Decent price with breakfast included.

Imagine in your mind what a centuries old farmhouse in the Tuscan villa run by a warm Italian host is like. Got it? Then you’ve perfectly pictured the property and people at Agriturismo Mocine. The natural beauty is unparalleled- from the top of a rolling hill you see olive groves, vineyards and forests in all directions including those on site that you can stroll through while drinking your morning macchiato. The accommodations themselves are a work of art as our host, Valerio, retained the historical beauty of Tuscan architecture while updating the units with modern comforts. Inside, the architecture does not disappoint either! From the exposed ceilings revealing locally harvested wood beams to the Italian tile floors to the custom hinges on the doors and windows, every detail seems carefully chosen to complement the natural beauty of the region. As for the layout of our unit, we found the 3 bedroom/2 + kitchen bath perfect for our family of 6. Each room had air conditioning, the beds were very comfortable and closet space adequate for all our luggage. The bathrooms were spacious and showers were very refreshing. Moving to the kitchen, the refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher were all used frequently during our stay. As exceptional as the accommodations were, I can’t understate the warmth, kindness, helpfulness, and care extended to us by our host, Valerio, Senora (didn’t get her name) who cooks all the meals and the rest of the staff. Everyone at Agriturismo Mocine welcomed my family into theirs, treating us as you would an old friend who you haven’t seen in some time. From assisting us with dinner reservations at a local restaurant to recommending towns to visit to the warm morning greetings, we felt truly like family. I have traveled a lot and in my experience the best places had the best people.

The host was very kind. Outstanding location, very secluded town and that feels so special for travelers.
