Situated in historic centre with lovely views over the surrounding natural landscapes. Rooms had historic and religious character; the choice of art work in the corridors reflected more modern Italian culture.

San Miniato is a small town divided in two parts, low and high. San Miniato Basso (low) houses commercial areas, large supermarkets etc. The high city is the old town with a lot of history to be discovered.

We went to San Miniato for part of the annual truffle festival (last 3 weekends in November) and we weren't disappointed! The whole town smelled delicious - the food market sprawls throughout the old town and is full of wonderful, interesting ingredients and food experiences. San Miniato itself is a lovely old hilltop town rich in heritage, and very picturesque. There are some lovely activities available in the local area - we were able to go truffle hunting with a local family and their gorgeous dog. The Tuscan countryside in autumn was spectacular. Definitely recommend having a car - the streets of the town are very narrow and winding, so just a small one maybe - but the area begs to be explored and it's not as easy if you are relying on public transport. San Miniato is within very easy striking distance of Pisa airport, and Florence. Will certainly be going back!

Great little hidden gem!
Great little hidden gem! The food is amazing, best I had in Italy! Visit the local butcher shop for lunch called Serigo Falaschi 4 generations strong all organic meat! you’ll have experience to remember, tell them Chef Mahogany sent ya. There is small bus service but it’s limited to keep in mind, and be ready to walk a lot, but it’s very small town, maybe 10 blocks in total! Don’t be fooled into booking with Airbnb, get hotel it’s worth it, and there are a lot issues with insects, so I recommend a place with A/C and keeping windows closed. Try Plazza de Populo in the square best restaurant in town for dinner! Ciao!

San Miniato is a very small Tuscan town it is very typically Italian however compared to others in the area like Sienna or Lucca it is not as large or interesting. This is the heart of truffle country and I am led to believe there is a festival in November which I am sure would be worth a visit. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walkers, cyclists etc. We stayed in a villa on the outskirts of the town which was very peaceful and quiet and served as a base for exploring the area.

San Miniato is a lovely hill town with with good access from FI-PI-LI motorway. It is quiet, not crowded with tourists, still good possibilities to eat and drink well. Must see are the tower on top of the hill, the cathedral, palaces and old town streets.
Absolutely perfect location to access everything in San Miniato.
perfect, modern, airy appartment with the best view you could ever need to make you feel completely detached from a very busy world.
lovely restaurants within 2 min walk, also a craft beer shop that does amazing sandwiches, trust me it’s popular! A Deli shop with all you need to retreat back to the appartment if you don’t want to venture.
Amazing wide open view from the apartment over Toscana landscape, great location, right in the centre of San Miniato. The apartment was bright, flooded with light, modern, cozy and comfortable, the buidling itself was also renovated very clean and noble looking. We also got a warm and courteos welcome, very much appreciated. Would highly recommended and stay there again.
The hotel is located on a property that seems to be a family home that has been converted into multiple individual rooms. It's very charming, and the property grounds encourage socializing with other hotel guests. They also have a restaurant on premises that serves breakfast in the morning. Dinner was delicious. There is trails nearby that allow you to walk around.
We loved Walter's apartment. Everything was so well thought-out and so thoughtful..
We have been traveling throughout italy and this was the absolute best place we have stayed. Don't hesitate to book.
Also the town is wonderful
One of my favorites because it's not over run with tourists.
We are so happy we stopped over here.
The view from A casa di Pablo, across the hills surrounding San Miniato is stunning. Just stunning.
Aida is such a welcoming host, super friendly, with fantastic English.
The room was beautiful. The mattress incredibly comfortable with a lovely little terrace to watch the sun setting. Quite a magical place to stay.
The location is in the countryside just a short drive from San Miniato. The host and his secretary were very friendly. The room was large and tidy, and the bed was located in a loft. The view from the yard was great although not the best we saw in Tuscany. The agriturismo offers a nice restaurant for having dinner.
I loved my stay here!! Beautiful and peaceful and a very warm welcome by Stefano and family. Stefano has a wealth of knowledge about the area and Italy in general. He was an absolute delight!! Breakfast was fabulous. I would highly recommend staying here. Grazie mille!!❤
It was the second time we stayed with Elizabeth ( La Castellana) , We love the place, the service, the rooms, the breakfast...from the B&B you can easily visit San Miniato and all interesting points .
Elizabeth is a super nice and friendly host (we love her !!!) ❤️
Our host, Pablo, was so friendly and made us feel very welcome in his place. Breakfast was fabulous - freshly made scrambled eggs!! Great storage for our bikes and a super location from which to explore San Miniato.
This hotel is directly on the Via Francigena. We had a spacious room although the bathroom was rather cramped and dated. Good view across the countryside. The biggest surprise was the excellent restaurant
Nice and cozy location at 10 minutes from San Miniato. Very well maintained, comfortable and big bedroom, nice and rich breakfast. It is a good point for a few days stay to explore Tuscany.
Recently renovated apartment in the centre of San Miniato, friendly owners and excellent food for any budget very close by. Apartment located on high floors, quiet.
Host Vittorio is a true gentleman, all the time taking care of his little paradise in the middle of San Miniato. Highly recommend a stay at La Farfalla.
Stunning views from the balcony. Peaceful location. Plenty of facilities in San Miniato Alto and easy access by bus to the trains for Florence and Pisa
