We didn't visit Casole d'Elsa itself - we wanted to, but didn't have the time in the end. We did visit Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, and Colle di Val d'Elsa, which were all within very easy reach from the agriturismo (at the most, a 45 minute drive, which was for Siena ; all the other places were closer by). All 4 of these places we had visited in the past, and we loved them now just as much as we did back then.

SO the place was a bit dated and well used. For the price, it was a bargain. We had a great family holiday. Laura was efficient and helpful. The pool at Aquaviva was clean and in a nice setting. We used the supermarket in Casole, and ate out in restaurants nearby. We also cooked our own meals and had memorable meals on opur shady verandah. Thanks Laura. We will return

Lovely hillside town, people do beautiful potted plants on the walking streets up in the village. One main street on the hill so can't miss the coffee bars and restaurants. Views are beautiful across the valley. Go to the nearby Casole towns for more views and restaurants. Just a lovely part of Tuscany!

Ideal location to visit all the local picturesque villages...
Ideal location to visit all the local picturesque villages and towns in this part of Tuscany. We ate out in a couple of local restaurants as well as our hotel and were very pleased with them all.
We had a hire car and it was very easy and the best way to get around. The roads are very quiet compared to the UK which means taking in the Tuscany scenery is no problem.
We like everything in the hotel. The view and environment were breathtaking and unforgettable. It was definitely one of the best hotel we have ever been to. The spa was beautiful and relaxing. We also enjoyed so much for the hospitality of the staff, they were so helpful and took very good care of us. We even received a bottle of wine and free upgrade from them to celebrate our honeymoon. Though it was a bit expensive but we think that it was totally worth it.
Amazing location, excellent service. We travelled with our baby and got an amazing service (received a room upgrade to cater to our baby needs). The hotel and staff are very relaxed and friendly while providing a super service. Not pretentious at all compared to other 5 star places we have stayed at but really just wanting to make sure you have a good time. This is our second time staying at a hotel from the Belmond group and we loved it again.
Everything was perfect, location is amazing, best food I had in Italy, the view from every corner of the property can’t be matched. Service was impecable.
I am a very picky traveler, I’m only used in staying in the best hotels around the world and this hotel is definitely in my top 5 hotels ever. We had a suite booked and received a complimentary upgrade, the suite and the view were amazing, we were sad to leave
Easy to find the hotel although I failed to find the parking, despite instructions. Good room with views of San Gimignano, although you have to ignore the industrial estate in the foreground. Good breakfast - nothing hot but plenty of cold choices. It is really more of a B&B - I never saw anyone else whilst I was there, own front door key was useful.
Exceptional service and a beautiful hotel. The team was supper attentive and happy to assist with everything. Room is spacious, very clean and also the shower and bathtub are great. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is great with nice selection of food and great service.
The quality was exceptional, it was like a hotel. Breakfast with homemade cake, it was excellent.
Owners were very friendly, they always tried to help us.
Location is good also, you can find essential shops in the town, the view from the balcony is breath-taking.
The price was high, but it was well worth it all the way, I won't go into details because I don't want to ruin surprises but it was the best stay I've had in any hotel I've been to in my life. Also, don't miss out on the truffle hunt!
Location is amazing if you want to explore the region (you need a car). The hotel itself is beatiful, peaceful, very welll maintained, great facilities as swiming pool area. Great value for money. Staff is very kind.
What's not to like? Beautiful hotel, fabulous facilities, friendly staff, great food.... one of the loveliest hotels in the world. I particularly loved the beautiful infinity pool. Great spa and gym too. Just go!
Spacious, comfortable, clean room in a smart hotel. Very comfortable bed, magnificent shower. Great breakfast. Secure bike parking and nice local supermarket or restaurants in walking distance
The hotel staff here are lovely & made some fantastic recommendations for places to eat out locally. Rooms were large, light & clean. There was also a lovely selection at breakfast.
The location is excellent, the landscaping in the hotel area is lovely, the stay with a family that includes small children is very comfortable and pleasant.
