Convenient right off the ferry. New, modern, clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet. We had a cruise ship parked out our window when we first checked in that pulled away a few hours later. Then we had a water view right outside our window. About a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport in the morning.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.
I live abroad but I am from Naples. It's marvelous for tourists to visit. Food is delicious and affordable but you need to watch out for accomodations - some companies will try to scam you so LOOK AT THE REVIEWS FIRST, ALWAYS!

Naples is very different from the rest of Italy.
Naples is very different from the rest of Italy. But you have to experience it! Not always a pretty place but lots to do, and great day trips. I recommend Paestum if you’ve already been to Pompei. Food in Naples is fabulous and very good value.

Gritty, characterful, packed with history at every turn, slight air of danger (pickpockets everywhere - just watch your backside and you're fine), loads of little squares that are full of bars and cafes open late, lots of live music, happy locals.

Naples is great and busy city.
Naples is great and busy city. Tha Spanish-area in the town is super. Great foads and coffee. Vezuvio and Pompei prsents the effort of Naples to presents its value. We can not leave the boat-tour to Capri (1 day) and Amalfi-Positano (1 day). I learned the style of Neapolitan drivers (wow) ... it is special - like a wild-river. I enjoyed it. We will be back for sure.

The only thing we didnt like is outlr trip to amalfi cost by public transport ( circum vesuviana train + sita bus ) , becaouse it took too long to get there and back ( 3 hours one direction) so we soend basicly half day on getting there and back, probably its better to book some organised trip ir shuttle

We stayed in Naples only for two days so that we could see Herculaneum and Pompeii. We walked around the streets in Ercolano a few times in the afternoon and evening and realized that there is a lot of charm to enjoy. Some of the best restaurants we enjoyed were in the areas where tourists would not go.
A FANTASTIC experience!! Very clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Naples. By far the most helpful hotel staff that we have ever encountered on any travels. They provided tips on what to see, how to navigate around the city, helped organize an early morning airport pickup for us, and even helped us to order pizza from a nearby restaurant. They made great recommendations for dinner as well! The room was spacious, very clean, and the largest shower we found in Italy (with great water pressure).
I recently had a short stay at Hotel des Artistes in Naples, Italy, and it was truly a pleasure experience. The hotel is located in a charming and lively neighborhood with easy access to many restaurants, and shops. The best part of our stay was the welcoming staff. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The building was dated and the lift add to its charm.
The flat is a bit claustrophobic and not light enough. The double bed is 2 singles who kept moving away from each other. The breakfast is composed of cakes, jam, nutella and sweet drinks. Too much for me!!!! This is not my type of breakfast but that how it is in Italy unfortunately. The transport near the house is quite rare, so need to walk to take any bus, when they exist!!!!. I found the transport in Naples horrendous. That has nothing to do with El Nido.
Nice apartment with a clean room and kitchen that you can dine there. The balcony is cute, very Italy style.
Walking distance to the Trainstation and public transportation.
The area near the train station would be a little bit messy, just like everywhere in the world, I guess.
But in Naples, it would be nice if you stay in somewhere you can walk to the place you want, taking a bus or car would cost you more time...
An absolute gem in Naples Central Histórico. The hosts are very accommodating and the room was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was awesome as well. This is the perfect location if you want to be in the centre of it all! We would definitely recommend anyone considering Naples Central Historical to stay at this B n B. Not to mention, we enjoyed some of the very best food in Italy in Naples. Thanks Again.
Anna, who I believe is the owner could not have been better. We arrived late to Naples because of plane delays and she waited for us. She answered all of our questions via WhatsApp before and during our stay. It was like we had a friend in Naples. We were in Italy to celebrate my wife's birthday later in the week and we even received a birthday wish after our stay. Now we do have a friend in Naples. 😀
Very clean room and spacious... and very modern as well. The bathroom is spacious and has jet pump!! First one we encountered from all the hotels we've been around Italy. Location is very nice, close to the Napoli Port which was convenient because we came by boat. The staff, Giuseppe was very helpful as well. Gave us very clear instructions on how to get into the property and even let us checkin early.
The biggest thing for me is safety traveling to another country especially to Naples or Italy, as a single female. Andrea made me feel very safe and is the best host anyone can ask for from the moment of arrival. The place is at the best location, about 5 minutes walk from the train station. For the price, I would pay double or more. Oh and the house is nice and clean daily.
Great location, close to the train station and airport. Excellent pizza nearby. We really appreciated the easy check-in process and our host went above and beyond! He was able to arrange a taxi for us very early in the morning, so we could make our flight out of Naples. We also left some items behind and he posted them to our final hotel in Italy. We were very grateful!
Great location And Friendly owner :). He’s’ one of the best in Italy so far. The location is perfect as you have access to some of the Naples’ most historical area, streets and a easy access to public transportation. The room was comfy and cozy but equally large enough to fit my group of 4 adults. It’s a solid place of you’re looking for a place to stay in Naples.
I loved the bathtub, shower, and size of our room. The bathtub had hot water, and we found most places in Italy with a tub only had luke warm water for the bath. Our air was comfortable all night. Most places in Italy, the air was regulated at night and we got hot. This was the most comfortable place we stayed other than the Nicholas Hotel in Bari.
We were greeted very friendly by the staff upon arrival and our rooms were already available for us. We stayed 2 nights and wish we could have stayed more. The hotel location is amazing (less than 1 min walk from the main T-station of Naples). The breakfast we had there was the best we had in italy with a lot of variety and tasty food.
Gennaro was an amazing host! He cares about his guests and them having a great experience in Naples! He provided the most amazing croissants for breakfast, and the pizza restaurant he sent me to was the best pizza I have had in Italy! Train was tricky to figure out, but convenient to get around on!
We stayed here for our last night in Italy for our honeymoon. The hotel is new and beautiful! Everything was very clean and the staff was very attentive. It’s not close to the main city, but they have a shuttle that will take you there until 4/5PM and otherwise can call you a taxi.
The hotel was so beautiful, the pool was great, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned everyday and aircon was the best we had in Italy. Breakfast was also delicious, staff will make you a cappuccino if you ask :)
Breakfast was typical for Italy. TV stopped working, fixed the next afternoon. Balcony with view of the Bay of Naples is spectacular. Mega police presence in the area.
It was close to the station, and the room was very clean and comfortable! I highly recommend staying at this hotel! Thank you for the wonderful time in Italy!
