Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

The food, the people, the Ferry to Capri - the Island of Capri. It was easily my favorite place in Italy. The pizza de Michelle was amazing, we hired a boat in Capri and drove it around the Island. Was a magical place. Also can't recommend Pompeii enough.

The city has some places of interest, it's a nice place to chill (in some areas) and you could visit it within 4 days. Definitely check the cultural heritage and make sure to look for suitable places to eat, there are plenty of them (even vegan).
The city is a bit dirty in general, except for the most important buildings and you can tell some investment in to restoring and repairing wouldn't hurt.
Make sure you pay a guided visit to Ercolano and Pompei, really awesome.

Napoli is too big to see in just a few days, you need a well though out plan! The food isn't cheap, but you can always find something modest yet still delicious on the street! Metro is an amazing benefit that helps you get around the city quickly, and it's not expensive! There's also a Zipline that will take you to vomero hill, and also has multiple other stops, so you can easily see the entire city!

We did a Naples underground tour which I highly suggest. We stayed near the train station- I don’t recommend. Very dirty area. Sketchy feeling, people aren’t friendly at all.

It is worth seeing for its museums and historical sites.
It is worth seeing for its museums and historical sites. But its public transport is bad; metro line 1 only passes every 18 minutes. It is very inadequate for a city with such a dense population and a lot of tourist visits due to its proximity to touristic places such as Amalfi and Pompeii. It's not a very clean city either. Especially the area around the central train station is in complete garbage chaos. If you are going to buy accommodation, evaluate the area and choose where you will stay. The traffic is also very heavy and irregular.

Naples is very very busy, we were shocked at the amount of rubbish everywhere and the amount of graffiti.
People were generally friendly and there are plenty of places to eat.
The signs or lack of them at the train station for Pompeii is unbelievable! we spent a good hour trying to find where to go and even people working at the train station were vague! we met other people on the train who also spent ages trying to work out where to go, considering this is such a tourist attraction it was a shock.
you don't need to buy tickets for Pompeii before as they are available right outside the entrance.
The owner, Enzo, is the sweetest person we met in our entire trip in Italy. He is super helpful and kind. As a sweet gesture, he even gifted us a box of chocolates for our journey ahead. There was coffee and breakfast available at the B&B. Enzo was very generous to give us welcome drinks as we entered. Room was clean and spacious and had all the amenities needed. The bathroom was bigger than usually seen in Italy and had ample amount of space. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Naples!
Just stayed here with my two daughters on a trip around Italy. We loved bibis appartment! It was modern and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was really helpful and was in contact helping us with restaurant recommendations and booked a taxi for us. Naples was my daughters favourite part of Italy so far
Fabulous find on Naples. Well run and excellent customer service. The terrace is fabulous and the breakfast spread was better than anything I've had on Italy. Hot tubs and outdoor showers help to keep you cool.
Best location to see Naples, so central! Owners very kindly let us leave our suitcases on the last day when we were leaving Italy so we could continue to enjoy Naples for a few hours.
