Lovely hotel with incredible view from rooftop lounge/restaurant. Absolutely gracious and attentive staff in every area. Big bonus to have an elevator to go down from the rooftop level to a garden level close to the main walking strip in Centro. Best of both worlds- view and convenient location. Absolutely would stay again- wish we could have stayed longer.
Located at Taormina Mare, the hotel offers an enchanting view over the Bay of Naxos and Cape Taormina; a magnificent panorama that can be admired from each of the guestrooms and from the restaurant.

Excellent staff, comfortable bed and good location (both for those who wish to walk up to the city or take the bus, which stops just outside the hotel). Having a balcony was a plus and the position of the room to the side of the building made it very quiet. Good coffee to wake one up. Pool was well maintained, as were the rest of the facilities.
Il Piccolo Giardino offers town and mountain views from its small rooftop terrace and pool.

We loved the stay here. Room we had was more roomy than we expected and the air conditioning was great to come back to after the long warm days outside. Pool rooftop was relaxing as well and in a great spot. The staff were always attentive and extremely nice.

Taormina is an undeniably beautiful town that captures the charm of Sicily with its stunning views and Greek History. One of the highlights of visiting Taormina is the views one of which is Mount Etna, which serves as a magnificent backdrop to the town. However, it is very pricey and touristy, which can detract from its authenticity and local feel.
The town boasts an array of high-end shops and restaurants, catering to visitors seeking luxury and fine dining experiences. It's an excellent place to visit for a day trip, allowing you to soak in the sights, enjoy the upscale ambiance, and perhaps indulge in some shopping.
The beaches below Taormina, while picturesque, are primarily reserved for guests staying at the beach resorts. The public areas on these beaches are relatively small and can get crowded and you can be bothered by street vendors, especially during peak tourist season. If you're planning to spend a day at the beach, staying at one of the resorts might offer a more comfortable and exclusive experience.
In summary, Taormina is a delightful destination for a day trip, especially if you appreciate high-end shopping and dining, and want to enjoy a stunning view of Mount Etna. However, be prepared for the tourist crowds and limited public beach access.

It is super full of tourists. We were there in late May. During the day, the day trip groups come to the town and it becomes hard to walk on the streets or find a sport in a restaurant. The prices in the restaurants are high.

Taormina is a 'must see' destination and has so much to offer. We visited Savoca nearby whilst staying in Taormina which was a real treat. We also had an excellent dinner one night in Giardini Naxos and were serenaded by a folk group who made the night magical. We will definitely be returning.

A marvellous location and unique natural beauty have earned this city the nickname of Pearl of the Ionian Sea. The distinctive city of Taormina in eastern Sicily is perched on a rock above sea level, with awe-inspiring views over Mount Etna and the coastline.
Like many other tourism hotspots, you have to plan carefully to avoid tourist traps and not get stuck in huge crowds.

Loved the location, lots to explore on foot with the Corso Umberto for shopping and eating, the Greek Theatre and the Botanical gardens for a quiet place to reflect and enjoy the views, and a play area for the children.
The cable car is worth using to access the beaches which again are well serviced with food, drink and toilet facilities.
Fabulous food, Mount Etna on your doorstep and great shopping.
We decided spontaneously to stay a night in Taormina ( wow what a piece of heaven)
And booked a room at the hotel… when we arrived they upgraded our room to the best room we ever stayed in our mid long life… open sea view From every window and a big and amazing terrace!!!!
They saw that it is my husband birthday so they spoiled us with a wonderful cold ice champagne!!!!
Wowwww!!!
The breakfast is off course wonderful and the pool area also 5 star experience!!
We are counting the minutes to come back!!
Stunning location, convenient short walk to Porta Messina (Taormina centre), cable car station (for access to beach) bus station immediately outside the hotel for airport transfers (€13 return), amazing and good value food (excellent breakfast included and 4 course meal for €25) alcohol is reasonably priced, good pool with plenty of sunbeds, room was spacious and rustic, balcony in standard double room (when requested) card system for food and drinks then bill paid on departure, staff friendly and helpful.
Perfect location just off the western end of the main pedestrian thoroughfare. This is a small family run 'boutique' hotel which has recently been renovated to a very high standard. Our room was quiet with good aircon and good buffet breakfast. Unlike some accommodation in Taormina, this hotel has a garage with parking for approx. 5 cars but strongly advise you pre-book. You will need satnav to find hotel. The owner (and staff) is very helpful and friendly and will guide you in/out of the garage.
It’s in a fabulous location, on the beach overlooking Isola Bella. The steps up to Taormina start right outside the hotel.
Breakfast was excellent and although we didn’t have dinner at the hotel, there are plenty of very good restaurants nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.
We were very unlucky with the weather during our stay… very little sun and plenty of rain. not sure how common that is in early May but the hotel helped us make the best of it.
Highly recommended.
The Hotel Villa Belvedere is in the city of Taormina and a stones throw from the Teatro Antico di Taormina and the botanical gardens. The hotel is simply beautiful with breathtaking views overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. We booked a 2 bedroom suite for a family of 4 which was luxurious and well equipped. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. There was parking at the hotel, albeit at an additional charge. A perfect holiday.
I liked the homey feel of hotel Natalina, it is very cozy and the staff are amazing & very helpful. They were very kid friendly and even helped with minding the kids, the location was perfect as well and if you are traveling with kids or older members it is very helpful to have the lift. I didn't find many options with a lift around that location so this was a big plus for us. Also the room was spotless clean much cleaner than in some 5 star hotels i have seen.
We had a gorgeous room at this BnB with a private balcony that looked over the ocean AND Mount Etna. IT was very quaint and cute ... prepare for stairs, everywhere throughout Taormina, you will certainly get your steps in every day. Nestled on the side of a hill, this hotel is ~15-20 minute walk from the center of Taormina as well as all of the restaurants and sites you would want to see. We appreciated that the hotel had parking on site as well.
Perfect hotel, comfortable. Friendly people, excellent location. If you want ro take a bus to go to the upper part of the town - it is about 10-15 min . If you want to substitute your daily sport club at home - use steps (690) :). There is a good restaurant on the beach nearby, and it is a it is good exercise also ; 175 syeps down, and the same to get back on the road ;). Our room was nice, breakfast tasty , time there was very pleasant!
Amazing sea views from hotel rooms and restaurant, the hotel is standing virtually on the beach, very helpful staff & great quality of service, great location in terms of proximity to the train station, Taormina, cable car, etc. Having our own crag on the beach was an unexpected bonus! Breakfast and lunches with amazing sea views were great!
The hotel has good location, close to the Taormina city, where you can get using funicular. The other advantage is that the hotel has it’s own beach, so you don’t need to pay for the sunbeds. There is a parking space if you have a rented car. Our room had seaview, which was nice. Overall we liked our stay
Our room had a sizable patio with great views of sea and Mt Etna. Fairly easy walk down m good restaurants and main shopping and piasa. GREAT shuttle service to affiliate hotel Lido right on the beach.. Breakfast with good food (actually hot scrambled eggs) and wonderful views. On site pool very nice!
The hotel is very well located, just a five minutes’ walk to the many shops and restaurants of Taormina. You are without doubt here in one of the most beautiful spots of Sicily.
And the view from the room is magnificent: blue skies, the Mediterranean Sea and the mount Etna. Spectacular.
The front desk staff where excellent. Very friendly and very helpful with information around Castelmola and Taormina. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our two week trip to Sicily. The views from the pool and deck are incredible.
A very well located hotel close to the centre of Taormina. Staff were helpful, breakfast good and overall facilities were what was to be expected for the price range. In summary a very good mid priced hotel in an expensive tourist hotspot.
The hotel is a grandly classic building with exceptional grounds and amazing views. Service was wonderful. We arrived in Taormina with thousands of people bussed in from cruises; the hotel was a wonderful refuge.
Modern and clean room with a great view in an accessible location close to the centre of Taormina.
The receptionist had good recommendations and cheap parking was available adjacent to the hotel.
This small hotel is in the heart of the historic centre of Taormina. It is spacious, airy, with the old charm. The room was rather basic but with two balconies with great views.
Charming boutique hotel in the heart of Taormina. The rooms are sparkling clean and very nicely designed and the view from their terrace is breathtaking.
This is a beautiful, ultra modern hotel. A few minutes walk from the center of Taormina. It has a view of the water. The staff were helpful & friendly.
