Good skiing with everything you need within close proximity.
Good skiing with everything you need within close proximity. However, if you are looking for an authentic Japanese exeprience, you are not going to find it in Hakuba. There are a lot of foreigners and many of the establishment workers are foreigners as well.

The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One...
The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One are somewhat confusing but it seems that there are more buses than on the timetables so that is a bonus. Many lifts start at 8am, so ideally one would have breakfast at 6:30 so one could get an early bus, but may be a challenge finding accommodation that does this.

It’s a ski and snow lover paradise.
It’s a ski and snow lover paradise. A small town with not so much city vibe, but best for snow or ski experience. It’s the idyllic charm that stands out for me. Everything u need for snow and ski experience is available there, for rent or to buy.

Snow was great, the town was very cute. Most of all, it wasn't that busy and lift have good space. Plenty of slops to choose from, and great restaurants, shops to go around after ski. Especially onsen was one of the great thing to add after the ski!

Hakuba is great and very welcoming.
Hakuba is great and very welcoming. The people and food are amazing. The skiing was great given the snow levels were lower than normal. The only thing to keep in mind is the bus service, while convenient can get crowded and does not run as much as it maybe should. A car would definitely be a great asset to have.
The Place is Amazing! Spacious enough for family.. we are 4 adults and 3 kids. We stayed here for 3 nights. Great location, near to train & bus station, great view from balcony, and surrounded by restaurants and of course only minutes away from ski resort around Hakuba.
And the host Peter and Shiho are the best! highly resposive, vvery helpful and thoughtful.. you will be amazed by their hospitality. All I can say everything is PERFECT!
definitely will come back again in winter season..
cheers!
One can only like everything in the apartment. It had everything right from large bedrooms to kitchen equipments.
The apartment is so near to Iwatake ski resort gondola station (which is possibly the main attraction of Hakuba).
The owners Daniel and Ayako were so helpful and supportive.
I will visit this place again if I ever come to Hakuba and I recommend everyone to stay here and experience the please stay and great hospitality of the owners.
Amazing Japanese hospitality and very knowledgeable hosts. I was originally planning on snowboarding at Happo One but because conditions were not great, they recommended Hakuba Goryu and it was a perfect day on the mountain. Hosts were also able to recommend a great dinner spot which capped off a great stay. Looking forward to coming back to Hakuba and staying again!
Really nice and cozy place to stay. Koki is very nice and friendly and will always try to answer our queries. Also love their private bath after a day of snowboarding.
Morning and evening shuttle bus between hakuba goryu ski resort and Il Bosco, makes the it easier to get to and back from ski resort (otherwise it will be a 15mins walk).
Friendly and accommodating host Yoko. She gave me a thorough intro to Hakuba and let me know the key places I should visit in my short stay. Has all the facilities you need for a ski trip including a drying room. Had the best sleep. Can cook and use kitchen. Walk down the hill and you’re already at the lifts to Happo One!
The chair lift at Sakru 2 is just 30 away from the hotel. It is rather convenient to access Happo one. However you would need to buy the ski ticket in advance at the ticket office because the chair lift station did not provide sales of ski passes. Use the short cut via Petit hotel shitaka for faster access to chair lift.
Large comfortable room with 3 king single beds, the onsen, the breakfast , the friendly and helpful staff, the ski gear locker in the drying room dedicated to our room, close to Echoland restaurants and the hotel is the first stop on all the shuttles to the ski resorts. It was the perfect place for a ski holiday.
Log cabin with 5 beds, fireplace (with plenty of firewood) and able to rent private onsen for reasonable price. Nearby Happo One, ~15 minute walk to resort downtown area or requires a shuttle ride from host or taxi to most places. Also can walk to the nearby hotel for shuttle to other ski resorts.
We loved that it was right on the ski field. Marcos was super accomodating, and went out of his way to drive us to the onsen, and then to another onsen! He was super friendly and made our stay! Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone looking to stay at Hakuba Goryu :))
It is very clean and surprisingly spacious for Japan standard. The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk to Happo One ski resort and to the bus terminal as well. The onsen, although not big was a bonus in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Great hotel very close to the Happo one ski. The staff is courteous and very helpful, they have all the amenities and is also family friendly.
The have a pick up and drop service from the station or from bus terminal as its not easy to find a taxi service.
Very nice hotel and impressive hospitality!
Only 15min walk from Hakuba Goryu ski resort
Free bus everyday to Goryu.
Very special Japanese style wood burning bathpot outside, and it's amazing to have bath inside seeing the snow falling down around you.
Next to free shuttle bus stop to ski resorts. Breakfast was excellent. Also provided discounted ski tickets for Hakuba 47 and Happo One. Free pick up and drop offs. Very hospitable and proactive with local advice on your daily activities.
Staff was very accommodating. Free shuttle to Goryu ski resort was really convenient. Breakfast was included with the room. Restaurant in the hotel had a small menu but was delicious. The area was quiet and peaceful.
Amazing location out front of Happo One Ski Resort. The food options are amazing so much great food options near by, but most of all the staff was so amazing. They make sure that everyone is happily taken care of.
Staying in Tokiwa-Tei was the best experience. If you want to feel the real Japanese life - this is a place to be. Very welcome hosts and kids, best breakfasts. Closest hotel to Escal plaza / ski lifts.
Arigato!
The location is perfect, steps away from a good ski rental place and the gondola at Happo One. The common room was welcoming, if not a little cold at times. The staff we accommodating and friendly.
Awesome location to Happo One resort, dining and shops. The apartment was nice sized for our family of 4 and clean. All the staff was very friendly and really helpful!
