ANAHUARQUE Hotel Boutique, hotel in Cusco

Featuring free WiFi access and located only a 2-minute walk from the Main Square, ANAHUARQUE Hotel Boutique offers accommodations in Cusco.

The place with most serene porch during my journey through Peru, just sitting there enjoying the Cusco sun was a bliss. But more onto the topic: the personnel has been extremely helpful and accomodating, especially since we arrived prior the official chek-in time, after the night journey with a bus. The room was really nice, though what was surprising: when we opened wooden window frames there was no glass frame (surprising in comparison to our experiences), though it wasn't an obstacle. Since it was chilly - we had in the room a heater, which turned out to be useful:) Generally - highly recommend:)

FAQs about hotels in Cusco

Timeless Inca Capital

Regarded as the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and its historical capital, none of these things are enough to describe the magic enchainment and colourful people of Cusco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites. A good example is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.

Must see places include the walled complex of ‘Sacsayhuamán’, and the remains of the main temple of ‘Coricancha’, dedicated to the Sun God ‘Inti’. For longer Cusco stays, hotels near ‘Plaza de Armas’ central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 3400-metres altitude, some Cusco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.

Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 46 km away, while the Titicaca Lake is 390 km away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or ‘Camino Inca’, which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport offers several services to Lima. Arriving at Wanchaq Railway Station or ‘Terminal Terrestre de Cusco’ bus station are also popular choices. Come to visit the ancient jewel, enjoy Peru and Cusco with the hotel deals available on Booking.com!

    Getting around Cusco was easy.

Getting around Cusco was easy. We are walkers and we love to see the typical markets and amazing museums. Its people are friendly and helpful. Any question was answered when we just ask anyone around. Restaurants? Mother of God! Delicious, too many options to choose from. From simple restaurants to fancy ones and the best: beautiful women in the street with cooked corn and pineapple slices to sale.

Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru.

Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru. It is a photographers dream, almost every you look there is a chance to take a wonderful travel photo while walking around, the old city is an absolute joy. No mater how long I have stayed in Cusco it has been too short and I always want to return to see things I have missed. However, it is a good idea to book a hotel which offers heat in the rooms as it can get rather chilly at night in the cold season.

Beautiful city, travelled all the way from Dubai to Peru and Cusco was of course a must-see. We spent NYE there and of course hit all of the main attractions (including doing the inca trail!). It´s one of the most beatiful cities I've visited. I love the landscape view, people is very kind and it has a lot of activities to do. I stay in Cusco a very short time, but I enjoy it as much as I could. I visited San Blas viewpoint, the Church and Rainbow Mountain, but my favorite place without no doubt was Machu Picchu.

I've been to Cusco several times over the past 25 years and...

I've been to Cusco several times over the past 25 years and also lived here for longer periods and for work. It's always been a hub as there is so much to see and do in and around town. Plan a week there, and you won't be bored. It's a buzzing place, there is such an abundance to choose from (tours, trips, hikes, walks, ruins, accommodation, markets, souvenirs and of course destinations like Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail), it's almost too much. You can do parties and clubs, or enjoy the quiet places, walk the ruins up the hills in nature with stunning views of high cordilleras the beautiful Andean scenery and enjoy the peacefulness in the company of some lamas and alpacas. I found that post-Covid the locals are still struggling with the lack of tourism. Nowadays the markets are better organised and have mainly been moved to indoor facilities over the past decades, tourists often don't know about them, e.g. in Pisac, and the locals suffer from few clients and low business. The regulations around Machu Picchu are ridiculous and overpriced; while it's good some rules are in place to deal with the amount of tourism, it has taken all the joy out of visiting the ruins. There are plenty of equally great alternatives though, if you find MP too expensive, don't want to plan half a year in advance or simply don't enjoy the crowds, go to Pisac instead, walk the full hike, or Choquequirao if you want a multi-day experience. For long timei travellers: if you have time, you can easily stay here for a month exploring the Valle Sagrado, get fit in the altitude, learn about local crafts, food, culture, history, Spanish etc.. After a while, it always feels healthy to leave Cusco again. Safe travels!

This appears to be a family business. Every single person was beyond friendly and extremely helpful since the moment we stepped in. The breakfast was made with much care, the room was spacious, had beautiful decor, and spotless clean. They gave us a map with all the main attractions and took the time to explain everything, what opens when, etc.. It's close to all the main attractions, but not located on a busy street so you're not bothered in your sleep. We stayed for 3 nights, and this hotel was the perfect ending to our Peru trip!

This is a great hotel in the San Blas area and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the people so much that we extended our stay to 8 days. The rooms are perfect - very clean and well-furnished. The lobby is also a comfortable place to settle in and read a book while you drink tea or coffee. There are lots of nice restaurants in the San Blas area. That said, you will get some good exercise walking down to the Plaza de Armas. If someone had walking difficulty it is possible that the San Blas area would not be their first choice.

The hotel and room were extremely clean and all COVID protocols were followed. The balcony has an amazing view over Cusco. Great option to stay in Cusco. It is located at San Blas, which is a nice place to stay, since is near to the main spots, but far enough from the crowds. The charming streets and quite place completes the scenario. The hotel itself is very nice. The staff is always ready to help, very friendly. The room is big, clean and confortable. This is our best stay during 11 days trip in Peru, even some of them are more expensive than MOAF. The staffs are super nice and attentive. We stayed one night before heading to Machu Picchu and another night after we came back from Machu Picchu. They took good cared of our luggage and went beyond our expectations. Very comfortable and new place. The hotel is essentially newly built so everything inside is new. They have a great terrace where there is a cafe and a great view of Cusco. The food is great, especially fruit salad for every recommendation. All the staff working at the hotel are very kind and willing to help and that is what gives that hotel a high rating. The hotel was cute, great view from the terrace. The location is good, not so far from the main attractions even if the accessibility is medium: the hotel is located in a small street up on the hill and non accessible by car. We had to carry ou luggage ourselves from plaza de San Blas. The hotel is beautiful with excellent views of Cusco and the surrounding hillsides. The wooden balconies and walkways are also beautiful and warm. The location is perfect right in the heart of the San Blas district and close to the Plaza de Armas.

Everything was great! Delicious breakfast served every morning. Charming colonial hotel with great views from our room of San Blas and Christ the Redeemer. We really appreciated the hard work and excellent service provided by Pearcy and Max!

The area of San Blas is great for exploring and close to the centre. Hotel was in a quiet pedestrian zone.
