An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. With that said, the bartenders at Pelourinho make a great Manhattan!JohnUnited States of America

The view from the pool was amazing overing looked the sea. The food was really good with lots of choice. The area felt like a village away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. We drove over the bridge to the port of Lisbon one night for dinner which took 30 mins. Well worth a visit, there were lots of lovely restaurants but the port.

Alcochete is a pretty small town with a great view of Lisbon across the water. Deluxe room is spacious with a seating area at the end of the bed and lovely window seats overlooking a garden. This is my go-to accommodation when I need to be near Lisbon.

You need a car for sure but within minutes you’re in Montijo which has the Alegro forum and minutes to the outlet mall in Alcochete. Driving distance to 4-5 major supermarkets. And the Hosts were wonderful and attentive. Can’t wait to visit again !

A lovely alternative to airport hotels for an early flight. Less than 30 minutes by car to the airport.
