Incredible views from this historic location. Despite the age of the castle grounds, the Pousada is up-t0-date and modern. Room was large and comfortable. And parking, thank goodness, was easy and open.

We loved the village setting, very close to the Neolithic antiquities site. Cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, adegas (wineries) galloped all within walking distance. The terrain is spectacular. All within 15 minutes of Setubal, Palmela and Azeitao. Local people are friendly and helpful. Landlords are outstanding.

Loved the clean, bright, modern spacious rooms. High-quality bedding (wonderfully comfortable beds), big shower and bathroom area, tasty coffee available in the room and the option to use the communal kitchen. We had a car, so had no problem getting to a variety of grocery stores to stock up, and the village streets were easy to navigate once we got used to the steep, narrow, cobblestone streets.

It is very poor in all terms. Everything is very cheap and old, photos looks waaaaay better than things really are. Sink didn't flush the water, so it was always full of water, no shower gel, no toothpaste. Smells very bad inside the room and outside. Inner yard is awful, burned and never cutted grass, garbage on the ground, broken glass...
In general it is uncomfortable motel, which doesn't cost 125€, max 50.

Great bed and bedding.
Great bed and bedding. We had one dinner there, it was good but not exceptional, breakfasts were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the beautiful sitting area.
Enjoyed exploring the castle right there but walking into Palmela very steep so we did not explore the town much.
We explored the nature estuary near Setabul and did some birdwatching.

The whole complex is faded glory, the golf course is overgrown with grass and weeds. The area around the apartments is poorly maintained with dried out plants because the irrigation system no longer works. Outside around the apartments it is a mess with crumple and dog poop in front of the door. It is clean in the apartments themselves, but many things do not seem to work or are incomplete (jamming doors, broken tap, inventory incomplete, shower water does not drain). In short, a very disappointing accommodation for a hefty price).

Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to my son's apartment.
Nice quiet neighborhood, very close to my son's apartment. This apartment just has the basics, but nice shower & bed, clean. No more golf course, though. There is a restaurant about 100 yards away. No public transportation close.
It was an absolutely amazing stay. The flat was located in an old house of former wine makers and is very lovely arranged. After a complete house tour with our host Rita we got a lot of information and we felt directly home.
The wonderful breakfast was provided by Rita exactly according our wishes.
The location is perfect to explore the old area of Palmela and just 10 min away from the famous castle.

What to say? The couple who runs the space, always open, available, and incredibly kind. The secluded, safe, and peaceful location. The facilities, all that was necessary was available, everything super clean, spacious, and comfortable. Quality breakfast. Enjoying the pool in the morning and/or afternoon sun. What's not to like? Would recommend it to all my friends if I had any.
Absolutely delightful little cottage in a typical small community. Well equipped and perfect for a few days stay in Palmela. Charming and welcoming host. Nice gift of local cheese and wine. Lots to see locally, particularly the castle, but there's plenty more in a short distance. Gòd local shops and eateries, and all the main brands within a couple of kilometres. We loved it.
Excellent location in Palmela. Our host Pedro was great at messaging us and very helpful with recommendations of things to do, restaurants etc and also recommended a very reliable taxi driver. The apartment is small but quirkily decorated and very well equipped. Lovely public areas for sitting just opposite the property.

Great location nextto Palmela - 2min drive. Center of Setubal peninsula
Friendly and hospitable Belgian hosts; who are happy to share information and sightseeing tip etc.
Very clean room and great bathroom. We had had bigger superior room.
Nice and varying breakfast with fresh orange juice and fruits.
The hosts were very kind and helpful. The house was clean and bed were very comfortable.
The property is very spacious and the swimming pool was large and did not have a strong smell of chlorine.
We enjoyed our stay as a family and we would return to the villa if we return to Palmela.
The hotel is really amazingly placed in a beautiful area of Palmela. Great experience, would absolutely book there again! A rare hotel that has a kitchen, and a beautiful terrace! No "official" parking, but never had a problem finding a spot in front of the hotel.
.Great apartment in beautiful surroundings. And you have a small inner court all to yourself. There is only this one apartment Very nice rooms and bathrooms. Great experience to stay in a winery. Staff was very serviceminded and very helpful
As always, a very friendly and personal reception.
The room we chose has a lovely view over Palmela and the quaint pool.
The breakfast is served at the table, with more than enough fresh fruit, bread, cheeses and jams.
What I liked was the Arrábida Park, which is not related to the hotel. The park is beautiful by itself and worth visiting. I would choose another hotel in this park though.
The property was exceptional, we loved everything about it. We have travelled extensively across the world and this hotel is definitely within our top 5 of best hotels.
We were there for our anniversary, there was fruit, chocolate and sparkling wine in the room. Location, ambiance, breakfast, everything was perfect, highly recommend.
