I like the location as it is bang in the middle of everything including the beautiful long boulevard in the Avenida.
As a long-term visitor there I feel very much at home there and the staff at both this hotel and the one on the Avenida are always friendly and helpful.

Located in a quiet (car free) street in the old town. Very central and close to the shorefront and restaurants. Rose makes the greatest breakfasts and she and Gino are super friendly and helpful. I had my own private roof terrace which was a bonus.

It's a very safe city. Many nice shops and restaurants/bars. Very clean and sunny city.
Love the historic flooring of the roads, but don't wear high heals there, please. Costline is amazing and very cheap ferry on hand to go to the beach. Like €2.60 only!! Beavhes are stunning and warm sea to swim.
Bus and train station is near, and the Uber works fine. Cheap transport as well as the food market. Must visit!!

Olhao is relaxed. Some great restaurants, lots of variety.
Olhao is relaxed. Some great restaurants, lots of variety. Our favourite was at the Marina near where you take the ferry. Take a trip to the Ria Formosa and enjoy the islands and the beaches. There are many boat companies plus the regular ferry every 20 minutes.
Golf is nearby but expensive. Look for deals, if they are available. We played Benamor, tight close and not very long. Still enjoyed it.

Beautifully quiet and relaxing
Sea , boat trips amazing
But a very long walk to the beaches , you need to catch a ferry and then walk 45 mins
But the islands are lovely and some nice restaurants
And scrummy bakeries
A few nice shops
I would definitely hire. A car as some of the surrounding area are stunning
The yatch club has the most amazing fish
And the Mexican near the police station is also very nice

Beautiful old and new Olhao.
Beautiful old and new Olhao. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area and never had a bad meal. Actually loved every meal I had. A long waterfront takes you from the old town to the new town and plenty to see and do.

Lovely little town, with an old town to stay in and explore and a newer town which we didn't really visit. We found the old town to be inviting, quaint, clean, and big enough to meet your needs for restaurants, shops, and easy access back onto the highway. There are no beaches to walk on, you need to take a boat but we didn't try it out. We enjoyed everything within walking distance. There is a promenade to walk a long the water with outdoor seating and great food, loved the garlic butter shrimp, a popular dish everywhere.

I know Olhao as a cheap and quit place but not anymore, its too noisy and expensive for us so unfortunately our next trip will be somewhere else.
For children there is not so much to do.
Its an excellent place for the eldery because of the shops, the bars, the restaurants and the boats to the beach. Eveything is easy to reach by car, bus, train, boat or taxi.
You have to be carefull for sunburn. Especially at the beach.
I dont burn easily but even early in April I got burned so much it hurts.
Be carefull! Also please dont swimm, the water is *** cold and we experienced first hand the tide can take you away from the beach,.
The pool area is incredibly well kept and tidy. It's like having your own private pool.
The rooms were huge, there was 8 of us and not once did we feel cramped.
Everything is clean, the staff are lovely and attentive. We genuinely have nothing bad at all to say about Villas Marim, this is far beyond a hotel.
Two nice restaurants next door (walking distance)
Aldi is a 6 minute drive away and Olhao is a 9 minute drive away. The lovely Tavira is 25 minute drive away.
Highly recommended staying here.
If you are planning a stay in Olhao this place is your best bet. The owners are so gracious and accommodating. The rooms are impeccably clean and the rooftop deck overlooks the town with a view of the ocean...beautiful!. My daughter and I stayed there for 2 weeks after Christmas and could have stayed longer. I loved the location next to the church and the sound of the bells chiming throughout the day. I really can't say enough good things about this place, it's a great deal!
Only a short drive away from the airport, this apartment couldn’t have been better for our family. We were welcomed by Antonio, a very kind gentleman who gave us very good information. Uber is the best option for transportation if you’re not driving here.
The apartment was immaculately clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Nice pool. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Boat excursions available from the nearby marina.
The villa is beautiful, with high quality furnishing, and stylish design. Best of all it's completely private, and has an amazing view right over the infinity pool. You feel like you are deep in the countryside, but downtown Olhao, with all the shopping and restaurants you need, is only 10 minutes away. And as a bonus, the internet is super fast, which is a great help when you need to get some work done like we did.
Joao, our host was great. The best host ever. He helped us by booking a table at a lovely restaurant. The day that we arrived he took time to suggest us things to do and where to go, focusing more on the local parts of the surroundings, not only the touristic part. The location is great, the house has a lovely little terrace and everything you need. We had coffee and fruits waiting for us. Everything was nice.
The staff were friendly, the bathroom was inside the shared room, which I think it was good because those in the room did not have to leave the room to use the bathroom. Excellent location. 800 metres away from the centre of Olhão with a very pleasant evening life, very chilled. Also, location wise, also very close to the ferries to travel to the ria formosa islands of Farol, Culatra and Armona.
From the moment you walk in, you know this place is special. The staff is welcoming and the design is thoughtful. You will feel right at home with cozy bedrooms, nice breakfast each morning in the kitchen, and enjoy a drink on the rooftop. The entire place is very clean and decorated with Algarve charm. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Olhão.

if the location isn’t perfect enough for you, the home itself is absolutely stunning. Seconds away from anything you could possibly need. The staff was incredible. It was literally like staying at a hotel without the hotel prices. I fell in love with this place!
A beautiful room in traditional Portuguese house with additional sitting and breakfast areas and two lovely terraces. Our only regret was only booking one night. We would definitely like to return to Olhao and would definitely stay at this accommodation again
The place was clean, comfortable and convenient to walk around old town & go to the the markets, boats & restaurants nearby.
It was nice to have air conditioning upstairs & downstairs because Olhao is HOT.
A stunning historical house with high walls and an awesome rooftop terrace - with the best view of Olhao! It‘s centrally located within all restaurants and the mercado. Comfy bed, clean and super friendly.
They gifted my husband with a botlle of champagne and brownies for his birthday. We thought it was such a nice surprise! Great service. Amazing breakfast. Those were the best days of our vacation.
Don't be put off by the term "Guest House"
This is hotel quality accommodation with the added bonus of a beautiful lounge and fully equipped kitchen for your use. 5 star all the way from us.
The property was self catering and being low season there not so many cafes or restaurants around.
Fortunately the Real Marina Hotel is close by with a good priced dinner available.
First time in Olhao & delighted with the choice of hotel, modern, smart facilities & lovely pool area close to bus & train stations & a 15 minute stroll to the waterfront !
