Rooms on the west side of the building overlook an alley where dumpsters are emptied in the very early morning and the noise is so loud to disturb the soundest of sleepers. The hotel obviously is aware as they provide earplugs in each room. Also, I would like to see the exercise equipment deep cleaned, especially, in the hard to find but very visible parts of the equipment.
Overall, very pleased with the facility and the accommodations. The location was perfect for our stay. Easy to get to and a great central point for our activities. The staff, especially desk clerk Marcia, was very helpful. Self parking, always an issue in downtown Chicago, was reasonably close and less expensive than other properties in the area.

I booked the hotel on booking.com and had a rate of $189per niight. On checkout they charged me $209per night and told me they couldn't give me the booking.com rate as it had been pre-charged to my credit card on checkin unknowingly to me! They did take off $20 wifi charges but that still left me €20down. Not a lot of money but it ruined my overall perception of the hotel and caused me too write this negative review.

Advertised on line as private parking but when we arrived inside the garage there was a sign saying vehicles could be parked off site and they were not responsible. Valet service was horrible and inefficient.
Great value on the room. Excellent amenities especially the reception hours and breakfast.

We booked through booking.com and we asked for features that both the 3rd party site confirmed as well as the hotel. When arriving, our needs were not met and the manager said if we leave he would gladly reimburse us but if we stay there is nothing he will to to nake the situatuon right. Not even a room upgrade or a discount. Nothing. We had a check in time of 4 pm and our play started at 7pm so there wasnt a whole lot of time to find another hotel. We were polite and non aggressive and he shrugged his shoulders as if our business wasnt need so it didnt matter if we stayed or left. Very unprofessional and no customer service skills what so ever. He was cold about it. And when we called booking.com they called the hotel and said the manager was unwilling to do anything for us. We are 29 and 30 years old and he talked to us as if we were children. We both worked in the service industry and felt very disrespected.
The place is gorgeous and the breakfast is wonderful

cleaning staff took our flight document which was in a folder, clearly not a garbage material, and through it in the garbage, we were not impressed by that. the front desk manager apparently was able to find it a day later

It's downtown, so noise can be an issue. However, there were earplugs provided in the room.
Clean, large room. Good breakfast. Nice pool area which was well-attended (clean towels, etc.). Close to a grocery store, several restaurants, and not far from Mich Ave.

Internet is very expensive. The breakfast and evening drinks in the mezzanine cause lots of noise which is far worse then the noise from outside - if someone sleeps in the living room (kids) it is really a problem (the door is not sound proof at all - you can hear talking running). If you go late for breakfast you have to wait a lot.
Great location, everything in walking distance. The breakfast is nice (if you go in time). The bedroom and the living room is big and comfortable. Luckily they changes our room from the 3rd floor to the 6th - thats why I can write positive review most probably :)

Only thing that could have been better was the amount of time it took for staff to pick up trays/carry out bags left outside the rooms in the halls. Easy to stumble on and just looked yucky!
Truly the best hotel stay for us! Service, hospitality, room, food, amenities...all excellent. All in all great! Will stay again!

The inner or heavier drapes in the bedroom don't close all the way; I prefer to sleep in total darkness, and there was ambient light from the outside coming in. I never like paying for wifi.
Bed was very comfortable, service was good.
