Nice room Good food and off road parking
Staff was great! Called to check on us (got a late start) & helped us find it. Breakfast was great! Good chicory coffee! Caught the street car 1 block over on St. Charles, several restaurants there also! Free parking was nice. We are history buffs so we enjoyed the architecture of the house & staying in a piece of history! Planned a return trip with the kids while we were there! Can't wait!
The bed pillows could have been a little bit fluffier but that is just a personal choice!
Closeness to transportation, being in Garden District, and not having to pay for parking.
Rooms very old fashioned, no chair, lots of peeling paint in room and halls, stuffiness in room.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff
Very weak shower
ROOM DECOR AND BED COMFORT
The authenticity of the place
Extremely nice staff. Beatriz and her mom were very hospitable.
Beatriz and Ross are wonderful hosts! Very nice and friendly people and the breakfast is fantastic!
Not too far from french quarter, very close to streetcar and restaurants Free parking The exterior of the house is very nice
I understand that the house is old and I did not expect brand new rooms but some renovation works in the room are needed (painting, restroom)
A very friendly family atmosphere just a short streetcar ride from Canal St. Our room was spacious and the breakfast a perfect start to the day.
Beautiful old house- complete with rocking chair on the porch and lovely shutters. Roland greeted me at the gate at 1 in the morning after my flight was delayed and he was so helpful. Easy to access and right in the middle of the Garden District. I also accidentally left some stuff there and they had it waiting for me when I went back to pick it up a couple of days later. Bed was extremely comfortable and the air con was just what I needed in the New Orleans August weather!
The breakfast wasn't the best, so I only had it one morning.
The hotel was very cosy and I just liked that it was a normal New Orleans house
We liked the home feeling and thefrifriendliness of the owner in the morning. She shared Boudain for breakfast and we will stay with you all our next visit. It was comfort with flare, something a hotel can not provide.
Location and staff
Bed mattress and small tv
Location away from the French Quarter, Many restaurant options, free Parking, just a short walk from public transportation, the balcony...
I wish the room was a bit cleaner. It needs more up-keep just fixing things around the place.
The staff was delightful, providing excellent information and recommendations. Easy walking to restaurants and garden district sites. Bus and trolley just a block away. Breakfast was delicious and secure parking was a special plus.
Loved this location for our honeymoon. The house was so quaint and lovely! Exactly what we were looking for!
The location, the very helpful staff
The wifi was incredibly spotty.
Size of room, breakfast, quiet location, bed.
Some areas were run down and in need of maintenance. Room furnishings very basic.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They were like old friends who you've not seen in awhile.
Heartness from the owner of the Fairchild House. I would recommend to everyone to stay here for business or leisure. The best place to stay in Big Easy!
We liked everything!
Old world charm.
The room door did not open easily and the breakfast can have more variety of items.
Beautiful, old, historic home
The room was hot and the water was cold
The nice quiet neighborhood. Lovely furnishings. Friendliness of owner & staff. The weekend breakfast was good.
The weekday breakfast was disappointing. Most B&Bs we have stayed at had an actual "breakfast" not just bagels & toast.
Staff was super helpful in guiding us in doing our first visit to New Orleans.
