Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.
Great restaurants and cocktail bars! Shout out to Laser Wolf, Deux Chats, With Others and Baby Blues (breakfast). Domino Park’s a great place to walk and see across to Manhattan. Easy access to the city via subway.

Brooklyn is my home town, so im very familiar with how to get around. This hotel happen to be walking distance to one of my favorite bargin stores of all time.
This hotel has a bus stop right in front of it that take you express into the city. During my stay i would walk the few block to the train station and once i was done with my day in the city i would take the express bus straight to the hotel, what a luxury.
I always enjoy my time in New York !

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.

Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline,...
Amazing view of the bridge and the Manhattan skyline, especially when timing with the sunset. Plenty of places to eat. We had a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Dyker Heights to the nearest subway and there were loads of shops, eating places and cafes - including the likes of Victoria's Secrets and Saphora, so I expect the area to be growing and becoming more popular.

The deposit is not clear, and it is not mentioned on booking.com.
- Staff are kind but for me one staff was racist and I was shouted at and humiliated just for asking to send an invoice.
- I recommend the customer service is not that good as it destroyed the image creating a very unsafe environment for me as a customer.
- The management needs more personnel for the night shift because, during my stay with the receptionist, I felt unsafe and no one else was present to reassure the staff; instead, my brother had to gently remove me and lead me to the lift.
-The rooms are really small and the shower and toilets are in a very small space, for family members sharing a room is very difficult.
I would only recommend it if you have a short stay there and I do not recommend it for European travellers as the deposit thing looks like a scam. The currency converter was a bit weird too. I ended up paying 100€ extra and still waiting for my deposit.

NYC what can i say? so much!
NYC what can i say? so much! Not only does BK have a vibe of it's own, it has different vibes. As a former resident, I look forward to doing all of the things that I never did when I lived there. Botanical gardens is next on the list.
My recent stay was an absolute delight. The accommodation was spacious and the warm, cozy ambiance instantly made me feel at home even though they were remodeling the building. The hosts was welcoming and very helpful and responsive. What really sets this location apart is its proximity to a vibrant array of dining options, must-see spots, and bars. Lots to do in the Brooklyn area. This stay in Williamsburg not only met but exceeded my expectations, and I am already looking forward to my next visit.
The room and the whole hotel actually, was modern, comfortable, stylish and just perfect for my and my son's needs. The staff were particularly helpful, so a big thank you to them. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate. Nothing too fancy. Just the way I like it. Good price too. We also liked the location, Red Hook, Brooklyn. There were lots of lovely bars and cafes nearby, and several metro stations for easy access to Manhattan. Overall, my son and I were so impressed with this hotel.
Positives
Brooklyn is nice but it's a little bit of a walk to get to the vibrant places which seem to improve the more north you go.
Brooklyn heights, Dumbo, Williamsburg all places with loads of shops, boutiques; The slopes are near and also have a host of restaurants which is great.
There are some interesting brownstone properties nearby
The rooms are pretty good/clean. Bathrooms clean.
probably one the best hotels I’ve stayed in EVER! the service, the attention to detail is unmatched. The room has a great coffee machine, bottled water was delivered daily as well as Le Labo bathroom amenities.
Best staff, friendly and very helpful.
The views were amazing too.
If you are in Williamsburg this is the only place you stay, don’t even think about it twice.
The hotel is within walking distance of some of the best neighborhoods and eateries in Brooklyn, as well as the Barclay Center if you're in town for a game or concert. The hotel also has a great bar.Room is what you expect of an Ace Hotel - hipster vibe, comfortable bed and bedding, well-stocked mini bar. Room service was delicious.
Located in a quite but well connected part of Brooklyn, the Box House hotel offered us a lovely accomodation with enough space for 4 people, clean and equipped with everything for having a quick breakfast (fridge, stove, coffee machine, dish soap). Breakfast is also available in the hotel restaurant, paying an additional cost.
I really enjoyed my stay at Pod Brooklyn, the staff were fantastic and super helpful. The location was perfect and it was easy to get around on public transport. I am a solo traveler and felt safe with security at the front door in the evenings. I had a great time and
would definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.
Great location for Brooklyn and cruise terminal. The hotel was comfortable, safe, and had a very helpful staff. Breakfast was not great so I didn't eat much at all. One of the beds had sheets which seemed worn and not very nice. Otherwise the hotel was great value and a pleasant place to stay in the locality.
I liked how clean our room was! The staff was very helpful and accomdating. Tje hotel is very playful and fun with the restaurant and lounge area that had jenga all over the place to play! The area is PERFECT plenty of options to eat, drink and explore your way through Brooklyn 😁
Easy 10 PM check in after a flight from LA..quiet, nice beds, easy walk to Brooklyn Bridge (bought it) and around the area to visit friend for brunch..then on to cruise port with a short car ride by a hotel regular who got me directly to bag drop off..a good trick in the crowd :)
Very nice staff, good location for the concert at Barclays center - a 20 minute walk, clean rooms, a bar where you can order some food at a decent price level - perfect if you are tired and want to grab a bite at the hotel, free breakfast, near Brooklyn bridge and the DUMBO area
Great modern hotel. The plus was the staff friendliness, cleanliness of the room and linen quality: the pillows bed and duvet were so, so comfortable. The hotel is very well located in Williamsburg close to all the action. Entrance is secure. They serve coffee in the morning.
The location of the hotel is great, short walk from the metro and short walk from Domino Park with superb views of Manhattan and the Williamsburg Bridge. Tons of restaurants around to enjoy great food.
The hotel is clean and modern and so are the rooms.
The hotel is in a good location in downtown Brooklyn, with not too much hustle and bustle on the streets. It was affordable, as far as nyc goes. My room looked out to the street and I could watch the goings on down below. The bed was nice.
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff always friendly. The location is fantastic for exploring the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The bar always had something fun going on but the rest of the hotel was quiet.
The location of the hotel was perfect for shopping, dining and subway access. I absolutely love the roof top bar!! One of the best hotels in the Brooklyn area.
