Great Missenden
I was visiting friends in the Chilterns. Missenden Abbey is a tranquil spot close to the village and it is a wedding and business events venue it so it’s grounds are large. There was a Euro 2020(21) event taking place on the lawn. My room was a single in the coach house but was comfortable and overlooked a water feature in a decorative pond. Breakfast was good so a very acceptable and cost effective place to stay in an area where HS2 construction has filled the budget hotels.
Comfortable, charming location. We stayed in a comfortable Bailey room at the back of the hotel, adjoining the car park. Staff courteous and helpful. Good breakfast included. Stayed for two nights. Old Amersham is a most engaging historical place with modern amenities (large Tesco Supermarket) at the end of the High Street if needed, but separate from the main street. A good base from which to explore the Chilterns with good country walks.
We loved the location, which was in the heart of the Chilterns on the edge of the Thames with wonderful views. The food was excellent and the attentive staff were great. I was touched by the hotel leaving a card and chocolates to commemorate our wedding anniversary. The spa was good although when we were there the steam room wasn't working, which was a shame.
The location was good with easy access to the Chilterns, the breakfast was nice (good proportions), the room was finished to a very good standard, was a good size and very comfortable
Very close to the M40. Rooms clean and generally spacious. Pleasant view of the Chilterns from the room window.

I had an enjoyable trip to this place, especially Sister Hulya, she was very special and treated with the utmost respect and warmth. I always visit this place in all its branches and I had fun here too. Thank you
Lovely building that felt cosy and somewhere different for us to stay.
The staff was incredibly friendly. The location was ideal. I enjoyed both a delicious dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The building is old, which gives it charm but it has modern updates which make it comfortable and cozy.
Lovely refreshments and coffe even a wee biscuit, good sized room, TV friendly staff, close to shops, 15 min walk from train station, had hair dryer and iron in room, and shampoos etc
The staff were amazing especially Chloe on the front desk. I was amazing when she told me that she had only been there for 2 months, she was so knowledgable and just unbeleivable service the whole trip.
The room was clean and fresh, the windows were opened on our arrival. We had to contact the manager and he responded very quickly and professionally. The TV had a lot of channels. The shower was very powerful and the bathroom was very warm.
Location and a great team Of staff so friendly
Very large and spacious room. Good location and friendly staff.
