The top pick is the penthouse Egyptian suite … large room, with a very large bathroom with bath tub and shower Fantastic service and communication before/during/after the trip. The hosts provided a great self service free breakfast even though it was not ordered in advance.

Full working kitchen, lovely welcome hamper even wine fridge 😁. Walk in shower room amazing and bed was so comfy too. Linen and towels provided all of luxury quality. The best part for us was a sauna and hot tub to use when we like in our own private garden area with seating and heater. The only noises heard are the relaxing river running by and birds tweeting in the surrounding trees.

The bedroom was very large, nice view of greenery outside, very quiet, lots of parking, EXCELLENT SWIMMING POOL, SAUNA STEAM ROOM AND JACUZZI. Very nice staff in the spa area. Excellent poached eggs and mushrooms, lovely fresh melon and yoghurt. If you take a left turn out of the hotel, the Welsh Coastal Path runs along the canal, very nice walk.

I also enjoyed being able to invite two friends who live locally to come to Norton House for dinner with me in the evening. Everyone on the staff was very attentive and breakfast the next morning was a great start to the journey back to Hampshire.
