If you enjoy wine this is a must destination! 250+ vineyards most with tasting opportunity and many with great dining! Close to Cape Town and wonderful surrounding country. To enjoy at its best a stay of 4+ nights is best.

This is a grand old house that is best described as well lived in. Needs a bit of updating. The pool needs some attention. Not at all inviting. I don’t understand why they don’t just get an expert in to give it a thorough clean without doing it themselves. The staff are wonderful.

Stellenbosch with its town, restaurants and surrounding wineries are an absolute must while visiting South Africa. If you want a superb steak, go to The Fat Butcher. If you want a superb fish and chips to go Genki. If you want stunning views and great coffee visit Hidden Valley Winery. If you want stunning views and great wine, coffee and food visit Ernie Els Winery.

It is impeccable. I have nothing to say against this hotel, everything was perfect. We chose to stay at the hotel for the second time and enjoyed the visit to the winery, wine tasting and dinner with wonderful meat at the Taphuis restaurant. The breakfast is excellent with a welcome sparkling wine and also first-class service with very attentive people and delicious dishes.
